Abstract: A decorative film for insert molding includes a gravure-printed graphic layer and a light-transmissive patterned layer with high dimensional accuracy and has a reduced flow of gravure ink in manufacturing of a polycarbonate resin molded product. A multilayer film transmissive to visible light includes two acrylic resin layers and a first polycarbonate resin layer containing a polycarbonate-based resin and located between the acrylic resin layers. The gravure print layer includes a graphic layer with a gravure-printed graphic element. A first backer film contains an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene-based (ABS-based) resin transmissive to visible light. A second backer film includes two additional resin layers and a second polycarbonate resin layer located between the two additional acrylic resin layers. A light-transmissive patterned layer is located to allow visible light to pass through a predetermined portion in the graphic layer.

Abstract: A decorative sheet decorates a molded-article body in which a fiber-reinforced part, which constitutes a molded article with the molded-article body and contains a matrix resin having fibers and an epoxy group, is exposed to a surface. The decorative sheet includes an adhesive layer containing an amino-group-containing compound, the adhesive layer having an amino group that reacts with the matrix resin when bonding with the fiber-reinforced part. The decorative sheet also includes a decorative layer disposed on the adhesive layer and for decorating the surface of the molded-article body. The decorative sheet also includes a base film that is disposed on the decorative layer and has a polycarbonate-resin layer containing a polycarbonate resin and an inner-side acrylic-resin layer containing an acrylic resin. The inner-side acrylic-resin layer is disposed on the decorative layer, and the polycarbonate-resin layer is disposed on the inner-side acrylic-resin layer.

A backer film contains a polycarbonate-based resin and is transmissive. The first graphic layer includes a first image at a predetermined position in a three-dimensional shape of a decorative film formed in the three-dimensional shape. A patterned layer includes a pattern patterned to allow visible light to pass through the first image at the predetermined position in the three-dimensional shape.

Abstract: An inexpensive decorative sheet has a fine three-dimensional metallic design. A base vapor deposition film and a transfer sheet are provided. The base vapor deposition film includes a transparent film base of primarily a thermoplastic resin and is light-transmissive, and an underlying metal layer. The transfer sheet includes a transfer base film and a reflection pattern formation layer including a pattern metal layer. The transfer sheet is placed onto the base vapor deposition film, and a transfer roller is pressed against the transfer base film to embed a portion of the reflection pattern formation layer onto the base vapor deposition film and bond the portion to the base vapor deposition film. The transfer roller includes a transfer surface, which corresponds to a predetermined design. The transfer sheet is peeled away from the base vapor deposition film to transfer a reflection pattern to the base vapor deposition film.
