摘要: A gasket is provided in which the insulation properties of a plate exposed within a recessed portion are maintained and the generation of rust or the like on the plate exposed within the recessed portion is suppressed, whereby functions and the component life of the plate are maintained over a long period of time. The gasket has a plate, a covering portion containing a rubber-like elastic body covering a peripheral portion of the plate, and a seal lip provided on the plane of the covering portion, in which a recessed portion which is a plate holding mark in gasket molding is formed on the plane of the covering portion and on the outer peripheral side of the seal lip and in which a second seal lip is provided on the plane of the covering portion and on the further outer peripheral side of the recessed portion. The plate is a fuel cell separator and the second seal lip is provided as a seal lip for separator insulation.

摘要: This invention provides a highly reliable separator integrated gasket for fuel cells free from deformation of a separator in a gasket molding process. In order to achieve the object, a pair of separators having adjacent portions approaching each other and separation portions separating from each other in a stacked state and having manifold holes opened in the separation portions are stacked via a spacer in which an inner peripheral hole is opened and which enables the circulation of a fluid in a direction orthogonal to the stacking direction so that the manifold hole and the inner peripheral hole are continuous to each other, a stacked object of the separators and the spacer is disposed in a mold, and then a rubber molding material is charged into and cured in gasket molding cavities defined between a surface opposite to the spacer in the separator and the mold.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a carbon plate-integrated gasket with which, when forming a carbon plate-integrated gasket using a cure-in-place gasket (CIPG), gaskets with a selected lip shape can be obtained with good precision without damage to the carbon plate and with good material yield while maintaining favorable material properties. For this purpose, in the method for manufacturing a carbon plate-integrated gasket having a lip-shaped section in which an uncured liquid rubber is applied on the surface of a carbon plate to produce an uncured seal protrusion and the seal protrusion is then compressed and cured between a forming mold and the carbon plate, a burr-collecting section for discharging excess seal protrusion rubber from the gasket-forming space is configured between the forming mold and the carbon plate so as to communicate with said forming space via a rubber-squeezing section.

摘要: A bipolar plate is provided that prevents pressure leaks from occurring at a seal bead. A fuel battery gasket is provided. The gasket is structured to include a pair of metal-made bipolar plates, seal beads, and a tunnel. The bipolar plates are interposed between a plurality of reaction electrode portions. The bipolar plates are fastened together with the reaction electrode portions and thereby joined to each other. The seal beads are provided at one or both of the bipolar plates by being patterned in full-bead forms. The tunnel is bridged between the adjacent seal beads and allows their insides to communicate with each other. When a height of the seal bead is H1 and a height of the tunnel is H2, H1/H2 is set to be equal to or larger than 1.6.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a separator assembly for fuel cell includes a separator assembly forming step in which a separator assembly including a first metal separator and a second metal separator each having a protruding bead portion is formed by joining together the surfaces of the first and second metal separators opposite from their respective bead portions protruding, and a preload applying step in which a pair of platens apply a preload in a thickness direction of the separator assembly to a bead seal section formed of one pair of the bead portions, and thereby the bead seal section is plastically deformed. In the preload applying step, the preload applied to a linear portion of the bead seal section is set to be smaller than the preload applied to a curve portion of the bead seal section.

摘要: This invention provides a laser welding method in which a state where the irradiation energy density becomes excessively high by a plurality of times of irradiation with laser is not caused and a defect, such as a hole, does not occur in a workpiece. In order to achieve the object, a laser welding method for welding a plurality of workpieces by irradiating the workpieces in a stacked state with a laser beam is characterized in that, when the laser beam is reciprocatingly emitted along a fixed welding line, the irradiation positions of a start end A and a termination end A″ of the irradiation are shifted away from each other so that the irradiation energy can be dispersed. Moreover, when the laser beam is emitted a plurality of times in the same direction along the fixed welding line, the irradiation positions of the start ends or/and the termination ends of the irradiation are shifted away from each other so that the irradiation energy can be dispersed.
