Abstract: A method and apparatus may include determining whether a user equipment is reachable or not. The method may also include determining whether a network should buffer downlink data. The determining whether the network should buffer the downlink data is based on stored context information or by querying an evolved Node B. The method may also include requesting a first network node to buffer the downlink data for a duration. The method may also include informing a second network node if the user equipment is determined to be unreachable. The method may also include informing the second node if the downlink data has been buffered.

Abstract: A method comprises receiving information for handover of a user equipment from a first connection to a second connection. The information for handover comprises information of a real-time text component of a call in progress in the first connection. The method further comprises using the information for handover to enable continuity of the real-time text component in the second connection.
