An apparatus and a method in a network device, the method comprising: configuring at least one configuration parameter for a Hybrid Automatic Repeat request process; and sending (704) the at least one configuration parameter to at least one terminal device (304), wherein the at least one configuration parameter indicates the at least one terminal device a condition under which the at least one terminal device (304) skips at least one retransmission of a data packet in the Hybrid Automatic Repeat request process.
