Abstract:
Methods, devices, and computer program products concerning accommodating ultra-reliable low latency communications (URLLC) traffic by making a determination of which mobile broadband (MBB) user equipment (UE) to puncture, where in response to an indication that URLLC traffic needs to be scheduled in the midst of ongoing MBB transmissions in a wireless communications network, the determination is made from a plurality of MBB UEs with the ongoing MBB transmissions, of a set of the plurality scheduled for transmission in a slot required by the URLLC traffic. From that set of MBB UEs, a subset of MBB UEs for puncturing is chosen, where that choice is made at least in relation to accommodating a reliability constraint of the URLLC traffic, maximizing a sum proportional fairness metric of the plurality of MBB UEs, and minimizing a block error rate in a computation of a proportional fairness metric for each UE of the subset.
Abstract:
There is provided a method comprising: maintaining, by a network element of a source cell, a list of candidate target cells for a handover, the list comprising for each candidate target cell an indication of whether a handover to the candidate target cell is allowed or not; and upon receiving a handover request from a user equipment to a candidate target cell for which a handover is determined as allowable, triggering the handover to the candidate target cell without negotiating regarding the request with a network element associated with the candidate target cell.
Abstract:
Various communication systems may benefit from improved reduction of cross link interference. For example, certain embodiments may benefit from cross link interference suppression. A method, in certain embodiments, may include receiving, by a first network entity, at least one downlink precoder map from a second network entity over at least one interface. The method may also include estimating, by the first network entity, at least one basis of at least one common spatial sub-space associated with at least one, or all, identified BS-BS CLI source. In addition, the method may include for each reception associated with the first network entity, spatially projecting, by the first network entity, at least one interference rejection combining estimated interference covariance matrix into at least one orthogonal projector sub-space.
Abstract:
There is provided a method comprising causing transmission of a first uplink transmission from a first user device, the first uplink transmission having a transmission time interval comprising a plurality of subframes, receiving information from a base station, the information comprising an indication to pause transmission of the first uplink transmission for N subframes, pausing transmission of the first uplink transmission for N subframes and causing, after N subframes, continued transmission of the first uplink transmission.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for an uplink timing synchronization recovery process for RACH-less handover are provided. One method includes detecting, by a network node, that at least one uplink transmission has not been successfully received from a user equipment. The method may also include transmitting a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order to the user equipment for re-initiating random access procedure (RACH) in order to become uplink synchronized.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus may include receiving a time-alignment value for a time-alignment timer. The method may also include starting the time-alignment timer. The method may also include transmitting one or more uplink transmissions. The uplink transmission is transmitted while the time-alignment timer is running. The method may also include receiving an updated time-alignment while the time-alignment timer is running, if the timing of the uplink transmission is determined to be correct. The method may also include applying the updated time-alignment, if the updated time-alignment is received. The method may also include stopping uplink transmissions, if no updated time alignment is received.
