    Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for sidelink collision avoidance based on sensing, such as PSFCH sensing, are provided. One method may include sensing, by a first UE, a first sidelink feedback transmission from a second UE in a first PSFCH resource, and determining, based on the first PSFCH resource, a first radio resource in which the second UE received a first data transmission from a third UE. The method may also include sensing a second sidelink feedback transmission from the second UE in a second PSFCH resource, determining, based on the second PSFCH resource, a second radio resource in which the second UE received a second data transmission from the third UE, and determining, based on at least one of the determined first radio resource or second radio resource, a third radio resource in which the second UE is expected to receive a third data transmission from the third UE.

    Abstract: A method may include initiating, by a transmitter user equipment, a hybrid automatic repeat request process for groupcasting a transport block over seedbank to one or more relay user equipment and at least one remote user equipment. The method may also include performing a first groupcast transmission of the transport block using the hybrid repeat request process. The method may further include monitoring feedback from the one or more relay user equipment and the at least one remote user equipment at a first time instance and at a second time instance. In addition, the method may include generating a retransmission strategy of the transport block depending on the feedback monitored at the first time instance and the second time instance. Further, the method may include controlling retransmission of the transport block using the hybrid automatic repeat request process based on the retransmission strategy.

    Abstract: An ARQ system for sidelink communication between transmitter and receiver, with the help of cooperative UE, or relay UE is disclosed. The relay intercepts the initial transmission from transmitter to receiver. If the relay does not intercept any ARQ feedback from the receiver (DTX), it retransmits the initial transmission. Upon receiving at least the Sidelink Control Information, SCI, identifying the retransmission, the transmitter terminates the HARQ process, assuming that the relay is now in charge of the retransmission. Upon reception of the retransmission, the receiver feeds back an HARQ ACK to the relay and the transmitter. If the receiver correctly receives the initial transmission, it feeds back an HARQ ACK to the relay and the transmitter and both relay and transmitter stop the HARQ process. If the relay does not successfully receive the initial transmission, it feds back a NACK to the transmitter which performs retransmission to the relay.
