Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for neighbor cell measurement based timing advance validation. A method may include receiving a network configuration comprising a timing advance command from a network element. The method may also include acquiring at least measurement data of a serving cell relative to a first set of neighbor cells at a first time instance, and measurement data of the serving cell relative to a second set of neighbor cells at a second time instance according to the network configuration. The method may further include performing a timing advance validity check using at least the acquired measurement data from the first time instance and the second time instance. Further, the method may include performing data transmission based on a result of the timing advance validity check.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to information transmission in random access. A method comprises selecting, one of a plurality of random access preambles that is received from a terminal device, the plurality of random access preambles being divided into a plurality of subsets of random access preambles; selecting at least one predefined sequence associated with the selected random access preamble based on a predetermined association between a plurality of predefined sequences and the plurality of subsets of random access preambles and based on a target resource unit to be used for transmission of control information and data information; modulating the control information with one of the at least one predefined sequence, the control information indicating configuration of the data information; and transmitting the selected random access preamble, the modulated control information, and the data information in a random access message to the network device.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for sidelink group coordination for group-specific synchronization reference are provided. For example, a method can include determining, by a user equipment, whether a first condition is met for coordination on group synchronization reference for a group of user equipment. The method can also include determining, by the user equipment, whether a second condition is met to act as group synchronization reference user equipment for the group. The method can further include transmitting, by the user equipment, a group synchronization reference signal when determined to act as the group synchronization reference user equipment. The method can additionally include performing, by the user equipment, a reduced synchronization search when determined not to act as the group synchronization reference user equipment.

Abstract: A node configured to support a method of communicating between two nodes in the unlicensed spectrum is disclosed where a channel can be simultaneously used for downlink and uplink communication. The method performed at a node involves assessing at that node, for example, a UE, that there is a transmission to be made to a further node, for example a gNB. The first node receives an indication that communication with the further node is supportable on a channel within an unlicensed spectrum using flexible frequency division duplex (FDD) techniques. The first node determines whether transmission by the further node is being made within a first portion of the channel within the unlicensed spectrum; and if so, transmits to the further node within a second portion of the channel which does not overlap with the first.
