Abstract: To provide a flow control valve seal that is manufactured at a low cost, that makes wear damage of a rotor with which the flow control valve seal slidably contacts less, and that is superior in its low leak performance, low friction performance, and low wear performance. A seal (6) is installed in a flow control valve device (1) including a housing (2) having an introduction part (5) that receives a cooling water from an internal combustion engine, and a resin rotor (4) disposed in the housing (2) and having a spherical outer peripheral surface (4a), the rotor (4) being rotated relative to the housing (2). The seal (6) is disposed between the introduction part (5) and the rotor (4) in the housing (2) and slidably contacts with the outer peripheral surface (4a) of the rotor (4). The seal (6) is an injection molded body of a resin composition having injection-moldable fluororesin as a base resin. The fluororesin is at least one resin selected from among a tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoro alkylvinyl ether copolymer resin, a tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer resin, and a tetrafluoroethylene-ethylene copolymer resin.

Abstract: A shaft seal having a ring shape adheres to an outer peripheral surface of a rotational shaft and thereby seals sealed fluid. The shaft seal partitions a gap between the rotational shaft and a housing to which the shaft seal is mounted, into a high-pressure side and a low-pressure side. The shaft seal is an injection-molded body having a generally U-shape in a sectional view about an axial direction. The shaft seal has a seal lip part that is configured to extend to the high-pressure side and slide on the rotational shaft, and an outer lip part that is disposed at an outer diametrical side relative to the seal lip part. An inclined angle of the seal lip part 2 relative to the outer peripheral surface of the rotational shaft is 5-20 degrees.

Abstract: The present invention provides a seal ring, for a variable valve timing system, which is resistant to breakage when the seal ring is expanded at a seal ring mounting time even in a case where the seal ring is thick and allowed to have a complicated configuration by performing injection molding and achieve a small oil leak, a low degree of friction, and improved wear resistance. In the variable valve timing system having a camshaft (5) for driving an intake valve of an internal combustion engine and an exhaust valve thereof, an inner rotational body (3) fixed to the camshaft (5), an outer rotational body (4) making a rotational motion relative to the inner rotational body (3) by supply of hydraulic oil at a time of altering opening and closing timings of the intake valve and the exhaust valve, and a shaft body (2) mounted on rotational body (3).
