摘要: A switch guide located between a pair of switches on a computerized bicycle control panel is disclosed for guiding a bicycle rider's thumb to a proper switch on a bicycle handle bar. The switch guide is preferably a protrusion dimensioned to be detected by the bicycle rider's thumb. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the height of the switch guide is greater than the height of the switch. In an alternative embodiment, the height of the switch guide is greater than the height of the switch, when the switch is activated. The switch guide is located in sufficient proximity to the switches to allow the rider's thumb to access one of the switches by moving the thumb to one side of the switch guide and the other switch by moving the thumb to the other side of the switch guide.

摘要: A key guard is disclosed for protecting a corresponding function key on a bicycle control panel, wherein the key guard does not freely move upon impact. The key guard is a protrusion attached to and extending from the base of the control panel adjacent to the corresponding function key. The top edge of the key guard extends above the top surface of the corresponding function key and the key guard, at least partially, surrounds the periphery of the corresponding function key. The key guard may slope toward the center of the function key. Alternatively, the key guard includes one or more posts surrounding the corresponding function key.

摘要: To provide a bicycle lighting device that brightens side portions in which brightened positions in the side portions are not limited as much as possible, and light in the side portions and light in a front portion can be distinguished. A headlight 14 includes: an outer case member 20; a lens member 22; an inner case member 24; a light emitting portion 26; a reflective member 28; and a light escaping portion 30. The outer case member is a member that is securable to a bicycle, and includes a housing space 41 formed therein, a first opening 42 placed in a front surface, and a second opening 43 placed in a side surface. The lens member is a translucent member that covers the first opening. The inner case member is a translucent member that is at least partially placed in the housing space of the outer case member and covers the second opening from the inside. The light emitting portion is placed in the inner case member. The reflective member is a member that is placed in the inner case body and reflects light from the light emitting portion toward the lens member. The light escaping portion is able to cause the light emitted from the light emitting portion to escape toward the inner case member.

In order to expose the second access port, the second panel is slidably moved in a particular direction, but in order to expose the first access port, the second panel and the first panel are slidably moved integrally with each other in the particular direction.

摘要: A front derailleur for a bicycle has a four-point link mechanism, and a control cable is attached by a screw to an end of a connecting arm fixed to one link of the four-point link mechanism. The connecting arm has an auxiliary projection. The control cable applies a torque to the link at a point of contact between the control cable and the auxiliary projection. The screw on the connecting arm is spaced from a chain guide which contacts a chain, to facilitate an operation to attach the control cable to the connecting arm.

摘要: The invention pertains to a process for activating an hydrotreating catalyst comprising a Group VIB metal oxide and a Group VIII metal oxide which process comprises contacting the catalyst with an acid and an organic additive which has a boiling point in the range of 80-500° C. and a solubility in water of at least 5 grams per liter (20° C., atmospheric pressure), optionally followed by drying under such conditions that at least 50% of the additive is maintained in the catalyst. The hydrotreating catalyst may be a fresh hydrotreating catalyst or a used hydrotreating catalyst which has been regenerated.
