摘要： An image forming machine in which a detachable process cartridge having a photoreceptor drum is provided. On the frame of the process cartridge, a magnetic connector is provided, in which a magnet and an outer plate surrounding the magnet are assembled, and a leaf spring is provided between the frame and the magnet. The process cartridge is positively grounded through the magnetic connector when the process cartridge is fully inserted into the main body of the machine, due to the magnetic connection to a plate of the main body.

摘要： A two-sided copying apparatus includes: an image forming device for forming an image on a recording sheet; a fixing device for fixing the image on the recording sheet; a branching device for branching the recording sheet on which the image was fixed by the fixing device to eject outside the apparatus or to feed again inside the apparatus for a two-sided image formation; a plurality of holding devices each for holding one edge of the recording sheet fed again inside the apparatus, wherein the holding device temporarily stops while holding the recording sheet and feeds again in a reverse direction onto a transfer station; and a supporting and guiding device for supporting and guiding the plurality of the holding devices.

摘要： A clamshell-type copying machine for reproducing an image of a document. The copy machine has a body flame consisting of an upper half body, a lower half body, and a hinge-like connector of these half bodies. There are provided a first urging member, located in a vicinity of the opening, and a second urging member, located in a vicinity of the connector. Both of these urging member urge the upper half body and the lower half body to be separated from each other in which an urging force of the second urging member is greater than that of the first urging member.

摘要： A decurl device includes: a curl detecting section having a plurality of toothed wheels each which detects a curling amount and a curling direction of a sheet having a curl; and a plurality of uncurling sections each arranged downstream of the curl detecting section in a conveyance direction of the sheet having the curl, which uncurls the sheet by bending and transforming the sheet in a direction reverse to a curling direction thereof. One of the uncurling sections, which reduces the curl, is selected on the basis of the curling amount and the curling direction that have been detected by the curl detecting section, thereby uncurling the sheet.
