摘要: The present invention provides an image display device comprising data lines each supplying a data signal, and a plurality of pixel circuits. Each of the pixel circuits includes a light-emitting element, a capacitor which stores a difference in potential caused by the data signal therein, a drive transistor which has a gate electrode connected to the data line via the capacitor and controls light emission of the light-emitting element based on a difference in potential between the gate electrode and a source electrode thereof, which is generated by a potential supplied by the data line and the potential difference stored in the capacitor, and a variation control switch which causes the difference in potential between the gate and source electrodes of the drive transistor to vary based on the data signal at the turning on thereof and prevents the difference in potential from varying at the turning off thereof.

摘要: A plurality of organic EL elements which are arranged on a display panel lowers the brightness along with a lapse of light emitting time and hence, the power consumption is increased to maintain the brightness. However, the increase of the power consumption shortens a lifetime of the organic EL elements. To overcome this drawback, a power supply circuit which drives the display panel has a function of controlling an electric power supplied to the display panel to a fixed value or less in response to a detection signal from a detection part which detects a cathode current of the organic EL elements.

摘要: The present invention provides an organic EL display device which imparts the flexibility to the pull-around operation of lines. The organic EL display device is characterized in that the display device includes a display part and a display drive circuit which is formed on a periphery of the display part on a surface of a substrate, wherein the display part includes a plurality of pixels driven by the display drive circuit, each one of the pixels is formed of a stacked body which is constituted of at least one electrode, a light emitting layer and another electrode stacked from the substrate side, another electrodes of respective pixels are electrically connected in common, and a conductive layer which is formed on the same layer and is made of the same material as another electrodes is formed on a region other than the display region in a state that the conductive layer is electrically separated from another electrodes.

In an organic EL display device in which pixels each of which is constituted of an organic El element are arranged in a matrix array, the pixel includes a pixel circuit which is configured to control an electric current supplied to the organic El element, the pixel circuit includes a capacitance, and the capacitance is arranged on a boundary of the pixels arranged adjacent to each other in a longitudinal direction of the pixels. Further, one electrode which constitutes the capacitance is used in common by the pixels arranged adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction, and another electrode which constitutes the capacitance is separated between the pixels arranged adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction.

摘要: An image display device capable of controlling in a differentiated manner the signal-brightness characteristics of natural pictures and those of different image sources, such as texts, in the screen frame is to be provided. The image display device is provided with a display area in which are arrayed a plurality of pixels each having a light-emitting device whose brightness is controlled with an image signal output voltage supplied from a signal voltage output circuit. The display area comprises first and second pixel groups of pixels connected to different drive voltage lines. The display area has a display characteristic that the first pixel group and the second pixel group are substantially equal in emission spectrum and differ in light emission brightness relative to the same image signal voltage supplied from the signal voltage output circuit.

摘要: An image display device includes pixel circuits, a power supply line, and a data line for supplying a data signal to the pixel circuits. The pixel circuits each include a light emitting element, a drive transistor for controlling light emission of the light emitting element, a storage capacitor provided between the data line and a gate electrode of the drive transistor, a both-end connection switch for connecting both ends of the storage capacitor to each other, and a current interruption switch for interrupting a path of a current flowing from the power supply line through the both-end connection switch. Before the data signal is supplied to each of the pixel circuits, the both-end connection switch connects the both ends of the storage capacitor to each other, and the current interruption switch is disconnected.
