A process for post-treating pre-expanded polyolefin resin particles which comprises charging in a vessel pre-expanded polyolefin resin particles which are pre-expanded by using an inflammable blowing agent, supplying an inert gas into the vessel, and then discharging the inert gas with the inflammable blowing agent gas extracted from the pre-expanded polyolefin resin particles, from the vessel. According to the process of the invention, the inflammable blowing agent can be extracted efficiently, safely and in a short time from the pre-expanded polyolefin resin particles which are pre-expanded by using the inflammable blowing agent. Consequently, the spontaneous cambustion of the particles can be completely avoided even if sparks are generated on the surface of the pre-expanded particles, therefore, it becomes easy to handle the pre-expanded polyolefin resin particles because the particles can be dried and transported by a pneumatic conveyer.

Novel 3(2H)-pyridazinone derivatives having the formula I: ##STR1## wherein, R is a straight or branched C.sub.2 to C.sub.6 alkyl, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each independently hydrogen or a lower alkyl, R.sup.4 is a halogen, R.sup.3 is a halogen, an alkyl, a cycloalkyl, an alkoxy, a haloalkyl, a haloalkoxy, --CN, --NO.sub.2, a phenyl, a benzyloxy, a benzyl, a phenoxy, a phenylthio, a pyridyloxy, a quinoxalyloxy, a lower alkenyloxy, a lower alkylthio, a lower haloalkylthio, --Si(CH.sub.3).sub.3, --OH, --N(CH.sub.3).sub.2, --SCN, --COOCH.sub.3 or --OCH(CH.sub.3)COOC.sub.2 H.sub.5, and n is an integer of 1 to 5, said R.sup.3 being the same or different when n is an integer of 2 to 5. A process for preparation of said derivatives is also provided. These derivatives are useful as an active ingredient of insecticidal, acaricidal, nematicidal and/or fungicidal compositions for agricultural and horticultural uses as well as of expellent compositions for ticks parasitic on animals.

An infrared and ultraviolet radiation absorbing glass suitable for use in building and vehicle windows, which comprises, on a weight basis, 68.0-73.0% SiO.sub.2, 0.1-3.0% Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, 7.0-11.0% CaO, 2.0-4.2% MgO, 12.0-16.0% Na.sub.2 O, 0.5-3.0% K.sub.2 O, 0.02-0.30% SO.sub.3, 0.30-0.90% total iron expressed as Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3, 0.10-0.80% CeO.sub.2, 0-1.0% TiO.sub.2, 0-0.5% ZnO, 0-0.1% MnO and 0-0.01% CoO. In the glass the ratio of ferrous iron to ferric iron is from 0.8 to 2.5. The glass has a bluish tint and is well balanced in visible light transmittance, infrared radiation absorption and ultraviolet radiation absorption, and a sheet of the glass can easily be tempered by a conventional method. In producing this glass, it is favorable to use cullet of a frit glass in which the ratio of ferrous iron to ferric iron is from 2.0 to 5.0 as a part of a batch of glass compostion to be melted.
