Abstract:
A multi-layer rotational-molded plastic article has an area, such as a sight line for viewing content levels, where an inside layer protrudes through the outside layer and may be bonded to it. A first flowable material such as plastic resin is introduced into a mold having an insulating member extending through an aperture or slot into the mold. The mold is rotated and heated to less than full cure. The insulating member is removed, a second, transparent flowable material is introduced into the mold, and a cover member replaces the insulating member. The mold is rotated and heated to cure both resins, and only then cooled and opened.
Abstract:
A mixing attachment for use with a reciprocating mechanism of a reciprocating hand tool, to quickly and efficiently mix contents of paint cans or other containers, may include a support member and one or more retention ring assemblies. The support member may be disconnectably connected to the reciprocating mechanism. The one or more retention ring assemblies may be attached to the support member. The retention ring assemblies may be mounted in a longitudinal slot on the support member and include an adjustable band and a securing mechanism for tightening the adjustable band about an outer surface of a paint can.
Abstract:
A rotational mold for plastic objects includes a feature body assembled in an aperture of a main body such that the object can be released from the main body before releasing it from the feature body. In some cases, the feature body may be repositioned on the main body to manufacture different versions of the object with the same mold.
