A process for preparing a pyrogen-free plasma substitute consisting of treating hydroxyethyl starch having a DS of 0.5 - 0.6 (preferably 0.55) and an intrinsic viscosity of 0.28 - 0.30 with an acid to lower the molecular weight; adjusting it to the desired hydroxyethyl starch having a DS of 0.55 and an intrinsic viscosity of 0.08- 0.14; adding a depyrogen reagent, such as Raney-nickel to it, if necessary, obtaining an isotonic aqueous solution containing 6% of hydroxyethyl starch and other various salts, preferably, adding sodium chloride (0.5%), potassium chloride (0.03%), calcium chloride dihydrate (0.02%), sodium lactate (0.224%), and glucose (1%)(W/V%) to 6% hydroxyethyl starch solution; and then adjusting the pH of the obtained iostonic aqueous solution to 6.2 .+-. 0.5.

The plastic flow condition optimizing section carries out a plastic flow analysis on a molded part model, and determines an optimum flow condition in a filling stage and a packing stage of an injection molding process of the injection molding machine by repeatedly executing an automated calculation using the result of the plastic flow analysis and the plastic flow analysis itself. The operating condition determining section comprises an injection-side condition determining section for determining an optimum injection-side condition of the injection molding machine according to the optimum flow condition obtained by the plastic flow condition optimizing means and a knowledge database with respect to an injection condition, and a clamping-side condition determining section for determining an optimum clamping-side condition according to the molded part form data generated by the plastic flow condition optimizing means, the result of the plastic flow analysis, mold design data, and a knowledge database with respect to a mold clamping condition.

After having passed through a filter, the phosphor suspension flows down on the inner surface of a glass bulb of a fluorescent lamp to form a phosphor layer on it. The coated bulb is heated to a temperature which is not higher than its softening temperature while it is transported along two opposite guide rails by two endless conveyors by having both end portions supported by associated guide tips on the conveyors projecting above the guide rails.
