摘要: A document retrieval system is provided which has a document display interface which is easy to recognize the important portions even if a document retrieved by using a query expression designated by a document or a long sentence is displayed. When a text is registered, predetermined character strings and location information which are extracted from the text are stored in a location information file. A weight of each character string is calculated by a predetermined method and is stored in a weight file. In retrieving a document, predetermined character strings are extracted from a designated query expression. A similarity is calculated between the query expression and texts in the database by using the location information and the weights acquired from the location file and the weight file. In displaying the document, character strings having the high weights are extracted from the character strings used for the retrieval. Then, the display format of a portion which contains the extracted character strings is changed to display the text.

摘要: A text mining method whereby documents (texts) can be analyzed from a wide variety of visual points. The text mining method includes: distinctive word and/or phrase extraction step of extracting words and/or phrases characteristically emerging in a processing subject document set obtained by taking out whole or a part of a set of documents registered beforehand; definition information setting step of setting definition information including a specified word or phrase or specified bibliography information; coincident word and/or phrase acquisition step of acquiring coincident words and/or phrases coincident in a predetermined range with a word or phrase or bibliography information included in said definition information from among words and/or phrases extracted at said distinctive word and/or phrase extraction step; and multiplex coincident word and/or phrase acquisition step of acquiring coincident words and/or phrases coincident in a predetermined range with an individual word or phrase or bibliography information acquired from each of a plurality of different definition information pieces.

摘要: A portable terminal executing an application program for realizing a predetermined function may not require a re-input operation of setting information and may reduce a restart time of the predetermined function by way of an in-vehicle apparatus. Specifically, the in-vehicle apparatus acquires and stores the setting information from the portable terminal. When a forced termination of the application program is detected, the in-vehicle apparatus transmits the setting information to the portable terminal after the application program is restarted by the portable terminal. The setting information from the in-vehicle apparatus enables the portable terminal to perform an auto-resetting process for redefining/resetting the setting information in order to resumes the application program.

摘要: A method for controlling a management computer connected to a server for permitting communications therebetween, wherein the server transmits to a client the result of processing executed in response to each processing request sent from the client. The management computer stores an allowance for a value indicative of a load on the server, receives from the server a value calculated on the basis of the number of processing requests from the client and the value indicative of the load on the server. The management computer calculates an allowance for the value calculated from the number of processing requests, based on the value calculated from the number of processing requests, the allowance for the value indicative of the load, and the value indicative of the load, and transmits to the server the calculated allowance for the value calculated from the number of processing requests.

摘要: It is an object of the invention to improve the productivity of an operation for bonding a sheet-like desiccating member onto a sealing cover, which sheet-like desiccating member is formed by removing its central portion so as to avoid an undesired contact between the desiccating member provided within the sealing cover and a laminated body forming an organic EL element, while still ensuring that an organic EL panel containing these members has only a thin thickness. The organic EL panel is provided by forming on a substrate an organic EL laminated body formed by interposing at least an organic layer between a pair of electrodes, followed by attaching a sealing cover for shielding the organic EL laminated body from an outside air. In particular, a sheet-like desiccating member is provided within the sealing cover in a manner such that the desiccating member is spaced apart from the organic EL laminated body. Specifically, the sheet-like desiccating member has a central portion-removed pattern, which central portion, before being removed, faces the organic EL laminated body and is connected with an outside portion.
