    摘要: A method transmits and receives signals in a cooperative, multi-user, multi-input, multi-output network. The network includes base stations (BSs) and mobile stations (MSs). Each BS has at least two antennas, and each MS has at least one antenna. At a first base station and a second base station using linear pre-coding matrices, a plurality of data streams are jointly pre-coded to produce first signals and second signals. The first signals are transmitted synchronously from the first BS and the second BS to a first MS, and the second signals are transmitted synchronously from the first BS and the second BS to a second MS, and in the first signal and the second signal are asynchronous with respect each other.

    摘要: A method for selecting antennas in a multiple-input, multiple-output wireless communications network that includes multiple stations is presented. Each station includes a set of transmit RF chains and a set of receive RF chains, and each RF chain is connectable to a set of antennas. A first station transmits a training frame for each possible subset of the set of antennas, and the set of transmit RF chains are connected to the subset of antennas according to a connection mapping rule while transmitting each training frame. A subchannel matrix is estimated in a second station for each frame. The subchannel matrices are combined to obtain a complete channel matrix. A particular subset of the antennas is selected according to the complete channel matrix. The set of transmit RF chains is connected to the selected particular subset of antennas to transmit data from the first station to the second station.

    摘要: In a cellular network, symbols are encoded and modulated to produce a modulated signal The modulated signal is mapped to a subcarrier using a spatial mapping matrix. An inverse fast Fourier transform is applied to the mapped signal to produce groups of tones. The groups of tones are transmitting concurrently to multiple receivers using the same channel as orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing access (OFDMA) signals. There is one group of tones for each receiver.
