摘要： WASP and N-WASP proteins are provided that can be expressed in soluble form, including fusion proteins that contain full-length WASP and N-WASP. The proteins retain at least partial activity of full length WASP or N-WASP and some of the proteins fully recapitulate the activity of full-length WASP and N-WASP. Methods for expressing full-length WASP and N-WASP are also provided.

摘要： Methods for assaying for actin polymerization are described, as are the use of the assays to screen for modulators of actin polymerization. The screening methods can be utilized to identify active agents that interact with actin, the polymerization state of actin and other proteins or cellular components whose function is naturally or artificially coupled to actin polymerization or depolymerization. Protein constructs and kits useful in performing the methods are also provided.
