The apparatus includes a laser sub-assembly, a multiplexer sub-assembly, and a receptacle sub-assembly. The laser sub-assembly includes a plurality of lasers for radiating a plurality of light waves of different wavelengths. The plurality of light waves are multiplexed in the multiplexer sub-assembly. The multiplexed light waves are coupled to an optical fiber by the receptacle sub-assembly.

    摘要: Apparatus for demultiplexing a wavelength division multiplexed optical signal comprising a plurality of signals each having a different wavelength. The apparatus comprises a demultiplexer sub-assembly and a multi-channel receiver optical sub-assembly. The demultiplexer sub-assembly comprises a filter block sub-assembly for splitting the input optical signal. The receiver optical sub-assembly comprises an array of photo detectors for converting the optical signals from the filter block sub-assembly into electrical signals. The electrical signals are amplified by amplifier ICs and transmitted through electrical leads. The demultiplexer sub-assembly and the multi-channel receiver optical sub-assembly are actively aligned and fixed together.

    摘要: A system and method are provided for canceling interference present in a local channel signal received at a receiver. The system includes a controller and a finger demodulator assembly. The controller is capable of selecting at least one interfering pilot channel signal that has a signal strength above a threshold, where the selected interfering pilot channel signals comprises an interfering set of pilot channel signals. The finger demodulator assembly can then be capable of producing a corrected local channel signal based upon the interfering set of pilot channel signals during the idle state and/or access state.

    摘要: An optical transceiver of one embodiment includes a transmitter optical subassembly to transmit an optical signal, a receiver optical subassembly to receive an optical signal, a mother board, a daughter board, and a housing. The mother board mounts electronic circuits that electrically communicate with the optical transmitter optical subassembly and the receiver optical subassembly. The daughter board mounts other electronic circuits that electrically communicate with the optical transmitter optical subassembly and the receiver optical subassembly. The daughter board has an extra area mounting a portion of the other electronic circuits. The housing defines a space for installing the optical transmitter optical subassembly, the receiver optical subassembly, the mother board, and the daughter board. The extra area is disposed outside the space.

    摘要: A policy that governs access to a resource may be tested against real-world access requests before being used to control access to the resource. In one example, access to a resource is governed by a policy, referred to as an effective policy. When the policy is to be modified or replaced, the modification or replacement may become a test policy. When a request is made to access the resource, the request may be evaluated under both the effective policy and the test policy. Whether access is granted is determined under the effective policy, but the decision that would be made under the test policy is noted, and may be logged. If the test policy is determined to behave acceptably when confronted with real-world access requests, then the current effective policy may be replaced with the test policy.
