摘要: The present invention relates to a method and an arrangement in a first communication node for adjusting a channel quality report transmitted between the first communication node and a second communication node. The first communication node and the second communication node are comprised in a wireless communication network, and are adapted to communicate with each other via a radio link. In a first step, a channel quality report is received from the second communication node. The channel quality report is established by the second communication node. Then at least one channel characteristic parameter is obtained. The next step is to determine a channel quality offset based on the obtained channel characteristic parameter. Based on the channel quality offset, the channel quality report is adjusted.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and an arrangement in a first communication node (115) for adjusting a channel quality report transmitted between the first communication node (115) and a second communication node (105). The first communication node (115) and the second communication node (105) are comprised in a wireless communication network (100), and are adapted to communicate with each other via a radio link (110). In a first step, a channel quality report is received (600) from the second communication node (105). The channel quality report is established by the second communication node (105). Then at least one channel characteristic parameter is obtained (601). The next step is to determine a channel quality offset based on the obtained channel characteristic parameter. Based on the channel quality offset, the channel quality report is adjusted (605).

The base station and the mobile terminal are comprised in a wireless communication system. The method comprises receiving information from the base station, concerning the relation between distribution characteristics and the performance of established data communications via the base station, comparing the own distribution characteristics of the mobile terminal with the received information, determining the own predicted data communication performance based on the made comparison between the own distribution characteristics and the received information, and displaying the determined own predicted data communication performance on a display of the mobile terminal. Also, a method and arrangement in a base station for assisting a mobile terminal in predicting future data communication performance of transmissions is comprised.

摘要: The invention is directed towards a method and transmission attempt determining device for adjusting the targeted number of transmission attempts in uplink communications between mobile stations and a cell in a wireless network handled by a cell handling device. According to the invention measurement data (RC) of radio conditions and service requirement data (SR) of the uplinks for mobile stations are obtained (36, 38, 40). Based on this data a determination (42) is made if the targeted number of transmission attempts should be adjusted. If a change should be made (42) an increase or a decrease is then determined (44) and the targeted number of transmission attempts are adjusted in the selected direction (46).

摘要: A user terminal (100, 200, 300, 400), a UE, for a wireless communications system. The UE comprises an antenna unit (130) and a receiver unit (125) for receiving signals on a radio channel within the system. The UE also comprises a sensor (115) for sensing the position of the UE and for generating an output signal indicative of said position. The UE further comprises an evaluation unit (120) which is arranged to measure the UE's communication performance over the channel and to also receive the output signal from the sensor and to generate a first control signal (S1) which indicates if altering the position of at least part of the UE, and thereby the position of the UE's antenna unit (130), will result in an increased communication performance over the channel for the UE.
