    摘要: Method and arrangement in a mobile terminal for predicting future data communication performance of transmissions between a base station and the mobile terminal. The base station and the mobile terminal are comprised in a wireless communication system.     摘要: A method is disclosed for use in a heterogeneous telecommunications system of the kind comprising a macro base station and a low-power base station, the low-power base station having a coverage which is extendible by range expansion, RE, to serve a user equipment which would otherwise have been served by the macro base station. According to the method, which is performed in either of the macro base station or the low-power base station, information about radio conditions of the user equipment at least with respect to the macro base station is obtained (310). Based on the obtained information, it is determined (320) whether a criterion for conditional range expansion is satisfied, said criterion being related to the uplink transmission power of the user equipment to the macro base station. Accordingly, range expansion is applied (330) for the user equipment only when the criterion is satisfied. A corresponding base station, telecommunications system and computer readable storage medium are also disclosed.

    摘要: A method for cell selection comprises obtaining of user equipment specific information for a user equipment that is present in a first cell of a first base station. The user equipment specific information comprises information of a prevailing radio situation and information of a present decoding performance. A present capability of the user equipment for handling increased interference and a measure of a cell selection offset required to cover the user equipment by a second cell is estimated from the user equipment specific information. It is decided on modifying a cell selection offset for handover between the first cell and the second cell, in dependence on the estimated present capability of the user equipment for handling increased interference and the cell selection offset required to cover the user equipment by the second cell.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for use in a heterogeneous telecommunications system of the kind comprising a macro base station and a low-power base station, the low-power base station having a coverage which is extendible by range expansion, RE, to serve a user equipment which would otherwise have been served by the macro base station. The method comprises the steps of: obtaining a quality indicator, which quality indicator indicates the current channel quality of the wireless link; determining a throughput indicator, which throughput indicator indicates the throughput format being available at the obtained quality indicator; calculating a switching value based on the quality indicator and the throughput indicator; switching to the second transport format when the quality indicator indicates that the switching value is reached or exceeded with respect to the second transport format; sending a notification to the second node, which notification indicates the switch to the second transport format.
