Abstract: A positive electrode includes a positive electrode current collector, a first active material layer, and a second active material layer. The second active material layer is located between the first active material layer and the positive electrode current collector. The first active material layer includes a first positive electrode material and a first lithium-containing material. The second active material layer includes a second positive electrode material. Each of a charge cutoff voltage of the first positive electrode material and a charge cutoff voltage of the second positive electrode material is greater than a gas production potential of the first lithium-containing material. A gas production rate per unit mass of the first active material layer is greater than a gas production rate per unit mass of the second active material layer.
