In the electrochemical device of this application, an appropriate electrolyte retention amount is maintained, and the foregoing additive is added in the electrolyte solution in an appropriate amount, thereby effectively improving the low-temperature discharge performance and safety performance of the electrochemical device. The electronic device containing the electrochemical device also exhibits good low-temperature discharge performance and safety performance.
