    Abstract: An electrochemical apparatus includes a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, a separator, and an electrolyte, where the positive electrode plate includes a positive electrode active material, the positive electrode active material includes element Co, and the electrolyte includes a polynitrile compound. The amount of the polynitrile compound is adjusted according to the amount of element Co in the positive electrode active material, and the polynitrile compound is in coordination complexation with Co with other additives used in combination. The structural stability of the positive electrode material with lithium highly released is significantly improved, inhibiting leaching of Co, reducing oxidization of the electrolyte by the positive electrode active material, and inhibiting related side reactions, thereby effectively improving performance of the electrochemical apparatus under high temperature.

    Abstract: An electrochemical device includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and an electrolyte solution. The electrolyte solution includes an additive. An electrolyte retention coefficient of the electrochemical device is a g/Ah, satisfying: 0.5≤a ≤3.5. Based on a total mass of the electrolyte solution, a mass percentage of the additive is b %, satisfying: 0.005≤b>3. The additive includes at least one of lithium bis(oxalato)borate, vinyl ethylene carbonate, methylene methane disulfonate, triallyl phosphate, trifluoromethyl ethylene carbonate, or prop-1-ene-1,3-sultone. In the electrochemical device of this application, an appropriate electrolyte retention amount is maintained, and the foregoing additive is added in the electrolyte solution in an appropriate amount, thereby effectively improving the low-temperature discharge performance and safety performance of the electrochemical device. The electronic device containing the electrochemical device also exhibits good low-temperature discharge performance and safety performance.
