    Abstract: An electrochemical apparatus includes a barrier, where the barrier is hermetically connected to an outer package, standalone chambers are formed at two sides of the barrier respectively, each chamber encapsulates an electrode assembly and an electrolyte, electrode assemblies in adjacent chambers are connected in series by tabs, and the barrier includes an ion insulating layer, water permeability of the barrier is less than or equal to 10−3 g/(day·m2·Pa)/3 mm, and sealing thickness T and sealing width W of a seal between the barrier and the outer package satisfy 0.01≤T/W≤0.05. Based on the electrochemical apparatus, not only high voltage output can be achieved and a temperature rise of the electrochemical apparatus can be reduced, but also water resistance and environmental stability of the electrochemical apparatus can be improved.

    Abstract: A liquid state battery includes a housing, a separator, a first slurry, a first current collector, a second slurry, a second current collector, a first tab, and a second tab having a different polarity than the first tab. The housing encloses a receiving space. The separator is disposed in the receiving space and divides the receiving space into a first chamber and a second chamber. The first slurry and the first current collector are disposed in the first chamber. The second slurry and the second current collector are disposed in the second chamber. The first tab is electrically connected to the first current collector and extending outside the housing. The second tab is electrically connected to the second current collector and extending outside the housing. This application further provides an electronic device containing such liquid state battery.

    Abstract: An electrochemical device includes a packaging shell having a first packaging body provided with a first dent and a first flange connected to a sidewall of the first dent, and a second packaging body provided with a second dent and a second flange connected to a sidewall of the second dent; a first electrode assembly disposed in the first dent; a second electrode assembly disposed in the second dent; and a partition plate including a partition layer and a first bonding layer located on a first surface of the partition layer. The partition plate is located between the first packaging body and the second packaging body. The flange overlaps the partition plate and extends beyond an edge of the partition plate. The partition plate fits with the first packaging body and the second packaging body to form mutually independent cavities on two sides of the partition plate.

    Abstract: An electrochemical device including a bipolar current collector. The bipolar current collector is hermetically connected to an outer package. Cavities independent of each other are formed on two opposite sides of the bipolar current collector. Each cavity contains an electrode assembly and an electrolytic solution. An electrode active material is disposed on at least one surface of the bipolar current collector. Adjacent electrode assemblies are connected in series. The electrochemical device according to this application not only improves the safety of the electrochemical device, but the electrode active material on the surface of the bipolar current collector also participates in a reaction process in the electrochemical device, so that the electrochemical device achieves both a high-voltage output and a relatively high energy density.
