摘要: An electronic control apparatus includes a control unit 2; a plurality of power supply units 1-1, 1-2 for supplying the control unit 2 with power; and a power supply fault detector unit 3 for detecting a fault in the plurality of power supply units 1-1, 1-2. The control unit 2 operates in a normal mode on electric power supplied from the plurality of power supply units 1-1, 1-2, when none of the plurality of power supply units 1-1, 1-2 is faulty. If at least one of the plurality of power supply units 1-1, 1-2 is faulty, the control unit 2 operates in an energy saving mode in which less power is consumed on electric power supplied from the power supply unit that remains fully operational. Thereby an electronic control apparatus is obtained that enables continued operation during a faulty condition, while preventing circuit scale, dimensions, weight, and cost from increasing.

摘要: In a vehicle door mirror, Between a circumferential edge of a mirror body 2 of a reflection mirror unit 1 in which a lighting unit 10 is incorporated and a flange on a circumferential edge 3a of a holder 3, a gap 4 for light emission is provided in a state in which the circumferential edges thereof are partially spaced from each other in a radial direction, and in the gap, a light emitting portion 10L of the lighting unit 10 is secondarily disposed. In this manner, a driver can directly visually recognize light that is emitted from the light emitting portion 10L, and a decrease in reflection area of the mirror body 2, which is caused by forming the gap 4, can be restrained to its required minimum level, making it possible to ensure an effective field of view of the door mirror.

摘要: Provided are a polyester polymerization catalyst with which the generation of foreign materials caused by the catalyst or mold pollution at the time of molding are reduced and polyesters having remarkably superior thermal stability and color tone can be obtained.Provided is a polyester polymerization catalyst produced by the reaction of a titanium compound and a mannitol in a molar ratio of titanium atom to mannitol of from 1:1 to 1:3. A method for producing a polyester employs the polyester polymerization catalyst.

摘要: A stator includes piezoelectric vibrators of piezoelectric ceramic put between a long metal block and a short metal block, which are fixed with screw threads at opposite ends of a bolt. When a high frequency alternating current voltage is applied to the piezoelectric vibrators, elliptic compounded vibration, progressive vibration and so on, which is torsional vibration due to the screw threads of the bolt compounded with longitudinal vibration due to the expansion and contraction of the piezoelectric vibrators, is generated on the end surface and the side surface of the stator. A driven member is engaged on the end surface or the side surface of the stator and is driven by the elliptic vibration.

摘要: Apparatus for the production of metal foil or printed circuit patterns on a continuously advancing strip of electrically conductive material includes a cathode under which the conductive strip is fed in sliding contact therewith. An insoluble anode is disposed under the cathode, with an interelectrode gap between the anode and the cathodic conductive strip traveling under the cathode. Lying next to one end of the anode is a solution inlet block defining a solution inlet from which the electroplating solution containing the metal to be deposited is fed turbulently into the interelectrode gap to cause the electrodeposition of the metal on the downward-facing surface of the conductive strip. A shield block of electrically insulating material is mounted over the solution inlet block for shielding the conductive strip traveling thereover from premature metal deposition due to leaking current and hence for avoiding the development of pinholes in the metal foil or circuit patterns.

摘要: A fish detector capable of detecting species of fish. Two ultrasonic sounds at different frequencies and echoes are detected by receivers tuned to said different frequencies, respectively. The output signals from the receivers are converted into binary-coded signals and one of the binary-coded signal is divided by the other binary-coded signal. The ratio or quotient thus obtained is compared with a plurality of reference signals at different levels or strengths so as to detect whether or not the ratio or quotient is higher than the highest level or strength reference signal, lower than the lowest level or strength reference signal or between two reference signals at adjacent levels or strengths and subsequently to display in color depending upon a level of the ratio or quotient thus detected.
