    Abstract: Inter-alia, a method is disclosed comprising: while a user equipment, UE, is scheduled without uplink, UL, gap intervals for proximity sensing: performing a first measurement indicative of a first measured peak effective isotropic radiated power, EIRP, value of the UE, and obtaining a first UL transmit power report from the UE; while the UE is scheduled with one or more UL gap intervals for proximity sensing and is placed in a free-space environment: outside the one or more scheduled UL gap intervals, performing a second measurement indicative of a second measured peak EIRP value of the UE, and obtaining a second UL transmit power report from the UE; and determining whether the UE is eligible for UL gap configuration at least based on the first and second measured peak EIRP values and on the first and second UL transmit power reports. It is further disclosed an according apparatus, computer program and a testing arrangement.

    Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to a solution for positioning of a low power device using sidelink peers. A target user device for a locally assisted positioning procedure may receive a trigger event to initiate positioning of the target user device, the trigger event originating from a location management function in relation to the locally assisted positioning procedure. The target user device may transmit at least one local positioning aid request to one or more anchor user devices for the locally assisted positioning procedure, the at least one local positioning aid request indicating a need for the locally assisted positioning procedure for the positioning of the target user device. Devices, methods, and computer programs are disclosed.

    Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to positioning enhancements. A first device receives, from a second device, first configuration information of a first set of passive radios for transmitting a plurality of first target signals in response to receiving a plurality of first reference signals from a third device. The first device receives, from the third device, at least one first reference signal. Upon receiving the at least one first reference signal, the first device receives, based on the first configuration information, the plurality of first target signals from the first set of passive radios. The first device transmits, to the second device, measurements related to the at least one first reference signal and the plurality of first target signals for positioning the first device. In this way, non-LoS detection for positioning is enabled, and the positioning accuracy is improved.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to updating positioning assistance configuration. A first device transmits a first request for updating a current positioning assistance configuration of the first device to a second device. The first device is in a radio resource control inactive mode, and the current positioning assistance configuration is used by the first device to receive a plurality of positioning reference signals from a plurality of positioning devices. Further, the first device receives a first response comprising a requested positioning assistance data for updating the current positioning assistance configuration from the second device. In this way, the first device can maintain being in a power saving mode meanwhile update the positioning assistance configuration in time.
