Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided for Givens rotation (GR) matrix parameterization pre-processing for channel state information feedback enhancement in a communication network. In this regard, channel measurement data related to a user equipment is transformed into Givens rotation (GR) matrix parameter data. Additionally, the GR matrix parameter data is encoded using at least one artificial intelligence (AI) model to generate channel state information (CSI) feedback data associated with the channel measurement data.

Abstract: A method may include transmitting, by a network node within a wireless network to a reference node, a first precoded tracking signal based on estimated precoding weights that are estimated to provide a predetermined signal at the reference node; receiving, by the network node from the reference node, a message including information related to whether or not the predetermined signal was received at the reference node based, at least in part, on the first precoded tracking signal transmitted by the network node; performing the following, by the network node, if the predetermined signal was not received at the reference node: adjusting one or more transmission parameters of the network node, that is estimated to more accurately provide the predetermined signal at the reference node; and transmitting, by the network node, a second precoded tracking signal based on adjusted transmission parameters.

Abstract: An improved NR-U framework allows a gNB to repeat RLM-RS with the same index over each sub-band of an unlicensed spectrum. For example, a RLM-RS with the same indices are repeated by the gNB over the sub-bands of a wideband channel in an unlicensed spectrum. By monitoring the different sub-bands, a UE may find one or more sub-bands in which the RLM-RS having a particular index is successfully transmitted at a subsequent time.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer program products for a user equipment receiving CSI-RS and computing channel support information. Based on the CSI, the UE derives tap locations of channel support, depending on the observed channel and used subcarrier spacing. The deriving can additionally be done in relation to power class and window size. The UE apprises a base station of those tap locations of the channel support and also informs the base station of the strongest tap locations, which can be done in various ways comprising a bit mask. Methods, apparatus, and computer program products for a base station to send CSI-RS to a UE for computing CSI feedback. The CSI-RS resources can be for one or multiple transmit receive points. The base station receives back an indication of tap locations and a bit mask and builds information on tap locations by combining that received indication and bit mask.

Abstract: A radio network sub-tiles reference signals (RSs) within a set of resource elements (REs) such that each sub-tiled RS occupies less than a time and/or frequency and/or power extent of its respective RE. The set of REs are dispersed across both frequency bins and time slots according to a pre-defined grid; and transmitted. The user equipment (UE) uses that pre-defined grid to locate within that transmission the set of dispersed REs. The UE accumulates and combines at least one subset of the sub-tiled RSs and estimates therefrom a quality; then reports uplink an indication of that estimated quality. Examples of the RSs include channel state information RSs, beam RSs and beam refinement RSs. Advantages are particularly relevant for 5G new radio systems.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to obtaining of measured information and predicted information related to an Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) model. In an example method, a first apparatus performs, during a first time period, first one or more measurements to obtain first measured information related to the first time period. The first apparatus determines, based on the first measured information, predicted information related to a second time period which is after the first time period. The first apparatus performs, during the second time period, second one or more measurements to obtain second measured information related to the second time period. The first apparatus transmits, to a second apparatus, the second measured information and the predicted information. In this way, a test mechanism framework may evaluate the prediction accuracy for AI/ML based prediction use case.
