摘要: A fuel vapor processing apparatus may include a case defining therein a first adsorption chamber, a second adsorption chamber and a non-adsorption chamber communicating between the first adsorption chamber and the second adsorption chamber. The cross sectional flow area of the first adsorption chamber may be smaller than the cross sectional flow area of the second adsorption chamber.

摘要: A vaporized fuel treatment apparatus having comprising a first adsorbent having a honeycomb structure capable of adsorbing and desorbing vapor contained in fuel evaporation gas, a case configured to house the first adsorbent therein, and a holding device configured to elastically hold the first adsorbent within the case. The first adsorbent has a circumferential surface and at least one end surface intersecting with the circumferential surface at a corner portion. The holding device comprises a holding member having a first portion and a second portion configured to contact with the circumferential surface and the at least one end surface, respectively. The holding member does not contact with the corner portion of the first adsorbent. The vaporized fuel treatment apparatus can include a sealed container disposed in a canister for controlling temperature alteration in the canister.

摘要: The present invention includes a fuel vapor processing apparatus including a communication passage connecting between a first space and a second space each containing an adsorption material capable of adsorbing fuel vapor. The communication passage includes a dissipation delaying space capable of delaying dissipation or transmission of the fuel vapor between the first and second spaces. The communication passage further includes throttles positioned to oppose to each other across the dissipation delaying space.

摘要: In a canister and a method of manufacturing a canister, in order to restrain a temperature rise of an adsorptive material owing to adsorption of an evaporated fuel (gasoline vapor) or to restrain a temperature drop of the adsorptive material during purging of the adsorbed gasoline vapor and to increase adsorbing and purging amounts, or in order to improve adsorbing and purging performances of the evaporated fuel, there is disposed a thermal storage material constituted of a phase change substance which absorbs and discharges latent heat in response to a temperature change or a thermal storage material microcapsule constituted by confining the thermal storage material in a microcapsule in a state in which the material or the microcapsule is not brought into direct contact with the evaporated fuel, and especially in the vicinity of the adsorptive material in a heat-conduction state, so that the temperature change is restrained by the thermal storage material in response to the temperature rise or drop of the adsorptive material to prevent deterioration of the adsorbing performance of an activated carbon due to the temperature rise and deterioration of the purging performance of the activated carbon due to the temperature drop.

摘要: A canister, for inhibiting a diffusion phenomenon in an adsorbent layer as much as possible and certainly adsorbing fed evaporated fuel to inhibit blow-by of the evaporated fuel into the atmosphere, is constituted by filling a first adsorbent layer of the canister with activated carbon A having a large evaporated fuel adsorption and a weak holding power, and filling a second and a third adsorbent layers with activated carbon B having an intermediate evaporated fuel adsorption and a weak holding power and therefore having characteristics that the residual amount of the low boiling point components in the evaporated fuel after purge is small, whereby after the high temperature standing of the canister, the discharge of the evaporated fuel into the atmosphere can be inhibited.

摘要: An evaporated fuel treating apparatus reduces blow-through of evaporated fuel components from an atmosphere port to an outside and has a fluid circulation passage which includes at one end side a first chamber containing granulated carbon or fractured carbon, and heat storage material and at another end side a second chamber containing granulated carbon or fractured carbon and not having the heat storage material. A delay diffusion chamber is disposed between the first chamber and the second chamber, which does not have activated carbon and the heat storage material therein. An adsorption amount of evaporated fuel of granulated or fractured carbon in the second chamber is set to be not less than 2 vol % and not more than 8 vol % of a total adsorption amount of evaporated fuel of granulated or fractured carbon, and a volume of the delay diffusion chamber is larger than that of the second chamber.
