摘要: This invention relates to ink follower for a water-base ballpoint pen with its bubbles removed, time-dependent stability, less oil separation, and greatly reduced lot-to-lot viscosity difference and associated performance difference, and a method for manufacturing the same. After addition of thickener, the follower is made depressurized preferably at 0.2 atm or lower. Simultaneous heating and stirring are preferable. When the ink follower is solely debubbled in advance, fine bubbles contained in particulate silica, clay thickener, etc. can be very highly removed even if the centrifugal debubbling is not so strong and there is no bad affection to the writing property of the pen. It is also possible that, after adding the thickener, a centrifugal force greater than or equal to 200-fold of the gravitational acceleration is applied to debubble.

摘要: Lot-to-lot or time-dependent instability in quality of the known ink follower for water-base ballpoint pens is overcome. Particulate silica, or organic-treated clay is kneaded as thickener with base oil to prepare gel matter. The gel matter is pressurized to eliminate fine bubbles to yield ink follower for water-base ballpoint pens. The pressurization is preferably performed at 2 atm or higher. The elimination of the bubbles is more effective when the ink follower is, under pressurization, stirred and/or heated.

摘要: The present invention provides an ink follower for an aqueous ballpoint pen having an ink reservoir for directly preserving an ink, and this ink follower comprises at least a gel-like material having a predominantly viscous response and comprising a less volatile solvent having a viscosity of 5 Pa.multidot.sec or less and a hydrophobic thickening agent, and a solid piece having a specific gravity of 0.80 to 1.10. In addition, the present invention provides a ballpoint pen using this ink follower. The ink follower of the present invention is characterized by using the gel-like material having a high flowability and the solid piece for dispersing and absorbing impact. This ink follower has a strong drop impact resistance, in contrast to a conventional gel-like ink control plug. The aqueous ballpoint pen using this ink follower does not lose its function, even when it is dropped from a shelf at a height of 1.5 m.

摘要: A bonded layer protection structure of a wear resistant component, comprising a wear resistant component such as a cutting tool constructed by bonding a wear resistant member such as a cutting portion to a main body portion such as a base metal by an adhesive. In this case, a necessary part of an adhesive layer exposed portion in a bonded portion between the wear resistant member and the main body portion is covered with a filler or a covering material. In addition, in the wear resistant component such as the cutting tool, a necessary part of the adhesive layer exposed portion in the bonded portion between the wear resistant member and the main body portion is covered with a sticking member.

摘要: A rotary tool with a shank comprises a tool body and a tip member Joined to the tool body. A narrow hole starts at an inlet port positioned at an end surface or an outer peripheral surface of the shank to run along the axis of rotation of the tool up to a tip end of said tool body and communicates at the boundary of the tip member and the tool body with an outlet port which opens to the terminal ends of ejection grooves.

摘要: A rotating boring tool (10) comprises a cylindrical shank (11) and a body (12), both of which are coaxial with each other, said body being provided at its tip end with cutting blades (13a, 13b) which are in point symmetry with respect to an axis of the shank. Provided on the body are two flutes (14a, 14b) continuous from the cutting blades. The both flutes are made to approach each other at the lower half lead portions (designated hereinbelow as f1 portions) of terminal end portions f0 of the flutes and positioned about 35 degrees or more offset from the position of point symmetry. Alternatively, the both flutes are merged at the f1 portions. Accordingly, thickened portions y0 are formed on the f1 portions to increase rigidity of the f1 portions. As a result, it is possible to suppress generation of fatigue failure at the f1 portions whereby a rotating boring tool of long service life which is hard to break is obtained and a product cost and a cost for tool replacement are considerably reduced.
