    Abstract: A ballpoint pen. In the ballpoint pen, an oil-based ballpoint pen ink composition has an ink viscosity with a range of 500 mPa·s to 15000 mPa·s inclusive at 20° C. and a shear rate of 500 sec−1. A ball has a ball diameter of 0.5 mm or less. A tip distal end portion includes a first swaged portion and a second swaged portion. The first swaged portion has an inclination angle with a range of 90 degrees to 100 degrees inclusive. The second swaged portion is provided closer to a distal end side of a ballpoint pen tip than the first swaged portion and has an inclination angle with a range of 110 degrees to 130 degrees inclusive. An angle of a bottom wall of a ball holding chamber is the same as the inclination angle of the second swaged portion.

    Abstract: A ballpoint pen is disclosed. In the ballpoint pen, an oil-based ballpoint pen ink composition has an ink viscosity with a range of 500 mPa·s to 15000 mPa·s inclusive at 20° C. and a shear rate of 500 sec-1.     Abstract: Provided is a dispersion liquid of colored resin fine particles for an aqueous ink having excellent stability and a sufficient drawn line intensity; an aqueous ink composition for a writing instrument such as felt-tip pens, marking pens, and ballpoint pens using the dispersion liquid of the colored resin fine particle as a colorant; and a writing instrument loaded with the composition. The dispersion liquid of colored resin fine particles for an aqueous ink includes colored resin fine particles dispersed in water, the colored resin fine particles composed of at least a cyclohexyl (meth)acrylate monomer, and a basic dye or an oil-soluble dye, in which the content of the cyclohexyl (meth)acrylate monomer is 30% by mass or more, and the content of the basic dye or the oil-soluble dye is 15% by mass or more based on the total polymer component constituting the colored resin fine particles.

    Abstract: An ink reservoir unit for a writing instruments using an ink reservoir tube with which low contamination can be achieved considering environmental problems; and a writing instruments using the same. The ink reservoir tube is composed of a composite material in which a raw material is layered on a paper substrate having paper as a substrate. One end section of the ink reservoir tube is coupled to a connection part formed on a writing member or a relay member that holds the writing member to constitute the ink reservoir unit for a writing instrument. In one preferred aspect, a locking means using a male thread formed on an outer peripheral surface is provided to the connection part to be connected to the ink reservoir tube, and the ink reservoir tube is coupled to the relay member that holds the writing member by the locking means.

    Abstract: A writing instrument includes: a writing instrument body and an ink cartridge. The ink cartridge includes a bottomed cylindrical container with an opened front end and a plug fitted into an inner circumferential surface of an opening of the container. The writing instrument body includes a projection that opens the ink cartridge when inserted into the opening to press the plug rearward and an air tight connecting portion, formed separately from the projection, that surrounds the projection. The opening is divided into a plurality of openings by air tight fitting the opening in the air tight connecting portion. A plurality of longitudinal channels are formed on an outer periphery of the projection. At least one of the plurality of channels serves as an ink channel and at least one of the other channels serves as an air intake path.
