摘要: Lot-to-lot or time-dependent instability in quality of the known ink follower for water-base ballpoint pens is overcome. Particulate silica, or organic-treated clay is kneaded as thickener with base oil to prepare gel matter. The gel matter is pressurized to eliminate fine bubbles to yield ink follower for water-base ballpoint pens. The pressurization is preferably performed at 2 atm or higher. The elimination of the bubbles is more effective when the ink follower is, under pressurization, stirred and/or heated.

摘要: This invention relates to ink follower for a water-base ballpoint pen with its bubbles removed, time-dependent stability, less oil separation, and greatly reduced lot-to-lot viscosity difference and associated performance difference, and a method for manufacturing the same. After addition of thickener, the follower is made depressurized preferably at 0.2 atm or lower. Simultaneous heating and stirring are preferable. When the ink follower is solely debubbled in advance, fine bubbles contained in particulate silica, clay thickener, etc. can be very highly removed even if the centrifugal debubbling is not so strong and there is no bad affection to the writing property of the pen. It is also possible that, after adding the thickener, a centrifugal force greater than or equal to 200-fold of the gravitational acceleration is applied to debubble.

摘要: The present invention provides an ink follower for an aqueous ballpoint pen having an ink reservoir for directly preserving an ink, and this ink follower comprises at least a gel-like material having a predominantly viscous response and comprising a less volatile solvent having a viscosity of 5 Pa.multidot.sec or less and a hydrophobic thickening agent, and a solid piece having a specific gravity of 0.80 to 1.10. In addition, the present invention provides a ballpoint pen using this ink follower. The ink follower of the present invention is characterized by using the gel-like material having a high flowability and the solid piece for dispersing and absorbing impact. This ink follower has a strong drop impact resistance, in contrast to a conventional gel-like ink control plug. The aqueous ballpoint pen using this ink follower does not lose its function, even when it is dropped from a shelf at a height of 1.5 m.

摘要: A dielectric gas produced at the time of current interruption is exhausted into an exhaust structure 1 through an opening 8 formed on a fixed-side support member 6 combined with a fixed arcing contact 4. The exhaust structure 1 has an enlarged portion with a gas flow cross section formed at least before a position at 1/2 of the overall length of the exhaust structure 1 that is uniformly enlarged toward the rear of the exhaust structure 1 with respect to the joint between the exhaust tube 1 and the fixed-side support member 6. As a result, the gas is immediately exhausted into the exhaust structure 1 and the interelectrode insulation recovery performance is ensured.

摘要: The present invention provides an ink volatilization preventing composition for an aqueous ball point pen which is to be put onto the upper surface of an aqueous ink having a viscosity of from 10.sup.-3 to 2 Pa sec (25.degree. C.) in an ink tank of the aqueous ball point pen, said composition being obtained by blending a gelling agent and a polyether-modified silicone with a slightly volatile organic liquid. This composition can move together with the ink in the ink tank of the ball point pen without reducing the amount of the composition filled at an initial time, so that the prevention effect of the composition volatilization can be maintained until the ink has been all consumed. In consequence, it is not necessary to fill a large amount of the composition, in contrast to a conventional ink back-blow preventer, and thus there is an advantage that the amount of the ink to be filled can be increased as much as a reducible amount of the composition.

摘要: The present invention is to provide an electromagnetic contactor in which the collision velocity of both of a movable core and a fixed core is effectively reduced to improve mechanical endurance of an electromagnet. The combined load of a buffer spring before actuation is set smaller than that of a retracting spring and a contact spring in a conduction state, so that the fixed core is actively moved towards the movable core side when being actuated by an electromagnetic coil, and a relative collision velocity can be accordingly decreased, thus improving mechanical endurance of the movable core and the fixed core.
