Abstract: The image processing method includes: analyzing an image frame to obtain an original gain value corresponding to grayscale values of the image frame, wherein the original gain value is greater than 1; obtaining a lookup table recording conversion relationship between default grayscale values and default gain values, wherein the lookup table is used for performing anti-saturation processing on image data of the image frame; according to the original gain value, performing anti-saturation processing for the image frame by using the lookup table to obtain an adjusted conversion relationship of the image frame, wherein the adjusted conversion relationship defines a conversion relationship between different grayscale values of the image frame and corresponding adjusted gain values; and performing gain processing on image data of the image frame according to the adjusted conversion relationship.

Abstract: A dimming method and dimming device for a backlight module are provided. The dimming method includes the following steps. Light distribution information of a plurality of light sources of the backlight module corresponding to a display panel is provided. According to the light distribution information of each of the light sources, a plurality of light contribution ratios of the light sources corresponding to a plurality of different positions of the display panel are obtained respectively. According to the light contribution ratios corresponding to the different positions, the needed intensity of each of the light sources is determined respectively.

Abstract: A display apparatus, a data gain regulating circuit and a data gain regulating method are provided. The display apparatus includes a display module, a backlight module and the data gain regulating circuit. The backlight module provides backlight to the display module. The data gain regulating circuit is coupled to the display module and determines a gain value according to ambient light information and backlight information. The data gain regulating circuit regulates display data according to the gain value to obtain regulated display data and transmits the regulated display data to the display module.
