    Abstract: An endoscope system includes: a first processor configured to perform first image processing on a set of image data; a second processor configured to perform second image processing on another set of image data; a third processor configured to generate, based on sets of image data output from the first and second processors, display image data; a recorder configured to record therein image data based on the sets of image data output from the first and second processors; a fourth processor configured to generate a first synchronization signal for synchronization among the first processor, the second processor, and the third processor; a fifth processor configured to generate a second synchronization signal for synchronization between the third processor and the recorder; and a controller configured to select one of the first and second synchronization signals, and perform control for synchronization between the third processor and the recorder.

    Abstract: An endoscope system includes an imaging unit having an image sensor to image a subject, a light source emitting illumination light for illuminating the subject, and a laser treatment instrument which can emit laser light for treating the subject during emission of the illumination light. A control device for the endoscope system includes a determination unit which determines a state of use of the laser treatment instrument, and a brightness adjustment circuit which adjusts at least one of exposure time in imaging by the imaging unit and the amount of emitted light of the light source based on the result of determination by the determination unit.

    Abstract: A control device for an imaging system includes a video signal acquisition unit, a photometric unit, and a luminance control unit. The video signal acquisition unit is configured to acquire a video signal obtained by taking an image of fluorescence radiated from a subject under excitation by an excitation light that is emitted onto the subject. The photometric unit is configured to acquire brightness of the fluorescence based only on a color-specific video signal of one color corresponding to the fluorescence, the color-specific video signal being included in the video signal. The luminance control unit is configured to adjust luminance of a fluorescent image formed from the video signal, based on the brightness of the fluorescence acquired by the photometric unit.

    Abstract: An image pickup system includes: an image pickup section including a first image pickup device outputting a first image pickup signal, and a second image pickup device outputting a second image pickup signal; a processor that performs signal processing on image pickup signals; and a memory section holding a difference correction parameter, the difference correction parameter indicating difference of image characteristics derived from sensitivity of each image pickup device, in image pickup signals outputted from the first image pickup device and the second image pickup device; and a correction processing section performing correction processing on at least one of the first image pickup signal and the second image pickup signal, based on the difference correction parameter.
