Abstract: An endoscope system includes: a light source device for sequentially emitting illumination light of three colors; an image sensor having pixels to perform photoelectric conversion on light from an object irradiated with the illumination light and output image signals; an illumination controller for causing the light source device to emit the illumination light of two colors during a one-line exposure period of the image sensor; and a calculation unit for calculating each color component signal for each horizontal line, based on a relational expression using an output value of a horizontal line, among output values of the image signals in a latest frame, a frame located one frame before the latest frame, and a frame located two frames before the latest frame, using each illumination period per one-line exposure period of each color in each frame, and using each exposure period of each color with respect to the horizontal line.

Abstract: A processing device includes a signal processing unit configured to: input first and second pixel signals from an image sensor having pixels for receiving light from a subject illuminated with pulsed light and generating a pixel signal, the first pixel signal being a one-frame signal read at read timing at least a part of which is included in an illumination period of the pulsed light, the second pixel signal being a one-frame signal read after the one frame of the first pixel signal; and generate a one-frame third pixel signal by synthesizing first and second overlap pixel signals, the first overlap pixel signal being defined as the first pixel signal corresponding to an overlap line of the pixels in which the illumination period of the pulsed light is overlapped with the read timing, the second overlap pixel signal being defined as the second pixel signal corresponding to the overlap line.

Abstract: An imaging system includes: a light source configured to emit illumination light; an imager configured to store an electric charge corresponding to an amount of received light and read out the stored electric charge as a signal value by using a rolling shutter method; a frequency detector configured to detect a vibrational frequency of a predetermined site of a subject; and an illumination controller configured to control emission of the illumination light during a readout period of the signal value. The illumination controller is configured to set a phase for an emission timing of the illumination light in an exposure period during which the imager stores the electric charge to be an identical phase at the frequency in each frame, and refer to respective phases set in exposure periods of chronologically adjacent frames to set an emission timing of the illumination light in the readout period.

Abstract: A communication system includes: a first signal line; a second signal line; a first signal line selection portion and a second signal line selection portion for selecting either one of the first signal line and the second signal line so as to be effective as the serial data; and a signal control portion for outputting a signal direction switching signal for controlling a selecting operation. The first signal line selection portion includes a first OR circuit and a first three-state buffer circuit provided on the first signal line, and a first buffer provided on the second signal line, and the second signal line selection portion includes a second OR circuit and a second three-state buffer circuit provided on the second signal line, a second buffer provided on the first signal line, and an inverter circuit provided between a terminal of the signal control portion and the second OR circuit.
