Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes a gain correcting unit and a gain estimating unit. The gain correcting unit corrects a gain of a pixel output of a phase-difference detecting pixel. The gain estimating unit estimates the gain with which to correct the pixel output of the phase-difference detecting pixel. The gain estimating unit includes a provisional true-value calculating unit configured to calculate a pixel output of a provisional true-value calculating pixel, in accordance with a correlation of the pixel outputs between a base block including the phase-difference detecting pixel and a reference block set in a search area for which a block similar to the base block is searched.

An image acquisition apparatus includes an optical system including a lens and forming a subject image; an image acquisition device having an image acquisition surface on which the subject image is formed and acquiring a plurality of images; a shifting mechanism causing the device and system to relatively shift in a direction parallel to the surface; and a processor configured to: calculate a movement amount of the subject image on the surface; calculate a relative shift amount of the device and system on the basis of the calculated movement amount; and cause the device and system to relatively shift, between acquisitions of the plurality of images, by the calculated shift amount. The device acquires a plurality of pre-images before acquiring the plurality of images, and the processor is configured to calculate the movement amount of the subject image from a movement amount of the subject between the plurality of pre-images.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes one or more processors including hardware. The one or more processors are configured to: divide, regarding a plurality of images acquired by capturing images of an imaging subject over time, the respective images into a plurality of regions; calculate, for the respective divided regions, motion vectors by detecting movements of the imaging subject; detect luminances and contrasts of the respective regions and detect specific regions where the detected luminances and contrasts satisfy determination conditions, the determination conditions being that the luminances are equal to or greater than a first threshold and that the contrasts are equal to or less than a second threshold; select the motion vectors to be used by excluding the motion vectors of the detected specific regions from the calculated motion vectors; and generate a combined image by performing position alignment of the plurality of images by using the selected motion vectors.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus is designed to process pixel outputs of an imaging element including imaging pixels and phase-difference detecting pixels. The apparatus includes a pixel mixing unit and an image processing unit. The pixel mixing unit mixes the pixel outputs. The image processing unit corrects the pixel outputs to prevent the phase-difference detecting pixels from degrading image quality, by using at least one of information selected from a group consisting of the number of mixed pixel outputs of phase-difference detecting pixels having the same opening direction and the number of mixed pixel outputs of imaging pixels having the same opening direction.

An image processing apparatus includes a total pixel value calculator that sums pixel values by each color arranged in one direction and other direction, an occurrence start point detector that determines whether a pixel of interest is an axial chromatic aberration occurrence start point or not based on the calculation result or the pixel value of the pixel of interest and detects the start point, an area determining section that determines an area around the start point as an axial chromatic aberration area, a color space information calculator that calculates color space information, a color space difference calculator that calculates the difference of the color space information between the one direction and the other direction, a correction amount calculator that calculates the correction amount of axial chromatic aberration in accordance with the difference, and a corrector that corrects the axial chromatic aberration area.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus includes a high-frequency pattern detector calculating a difference or a ratio between a value obtained by integrating averages of pixel outputs of a first pixel group arranged in identical positions in a vertical direction with respect to a focus detection pixel or in identical positions in a vertical direction with respect to another focus detection pixel located around the focus detection pixel and a value obtained by integrating averages of pixel outputs of a second pixel group arranged in positions shifted from the first pixel group in the horizontal or vertical direction, and sets a high-frequency degree in accordance with a magnitude of the difference or the ratio. An application determination unit increases the mixing rate of the focus detection pixel when the high-frequency pattern degree is high.
