Abstract: An image-processing device that includes at least one processor which is configured to: set discrete measurement regions in a standard image and a reference image selected from images acquired in a time series manner and calculate motion vectors in the respective measurement regions; set a region of interest in the standard image; select, from the calculated motion vectors, the motion vectors in the set region of interest; estimate a homographic-transformation matrix that represents a motion in the region of interest by using the selected motion vectors; evaluate an error in the homographic-transformation matrix on the basis of the estimated homographic-transformation matrix and the calculated motion vectors; and set, on the basis of the evaluation result for the homographic-transformation matrix estimated on the basis of a first region of interest, a second region of interest a size of which is increased as compared with that of the first region of interest.

Abstract: An image processing device includes circuitry configured to: calculate a displacement of each of a plurality of corresponding feature regions between a reference image and a base image; calculate, as a evaluation score, difference value between displacements of two feature regions adjacent to each other in at least one of the up/down direction, the left/right direction, and the oblique 45° direction; determine an abnormal region on the basis of the score; classify other feature regions excluding the abnormal feature region; calculate a projection conversion matrix by using the displacement of the other feature regions and the result of the classification; calculate a degree of alignment of each pixel of the reference image with respect to each pixel of the base image by using the matrix; and generate a combined image by combining the reference image converted based on the degree of alignment with the base image.

Abstract: An image-processing device includes a high-resolution combining portion that generates a combined image by combining a standard image and at least one reference image, which are acquired by capturing images of a subject in time series by using an imaging element in which multiple types of color filters are arrayed in individual pixels, in a high-resolution space where the resolution is greater than those of the standard image and the reference images. The image-processing device also includes a position-displacement-distribution calculating portion that calculates a distribution of position displacements between two comparative images that are individually formed of pixels corresponding to the different types of color filters in the generated combined image, a correlation-level calculating portion that calculates, for individual pixels, correlation levels between the two comparative images based on the calculated distribution, and an image correcting portion that corrects the combined image based on the calculated correlation levels.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus including: an image obtaining unit that obtains low-resolution (LR) images acquired in time series; a position alignment unit that aligns the LR images on the basis of a movement between the LR images to generate a high-resolution (HR) image; a correlation calculating unit that calculates correlation information between areas of the LR images, the areas corresponding to partial area in the HR image; a compositing-ratio calculating unit that calculates, for each partial area, a ratio between the HR image and an image to be composited which is generated from the LR or HR images and has a lower resolution than the HR image, such that the proportion of the HR image becomes smaller as the correlation of the area decreases; and an image compositing unit that composites the HR image and the image to be composited according to the ratio.

Abstract: An image processing device combines a plurality of time-series images to generate a composite image with a higher resolution than a resolution of the plurality of images. The image processing device includes a processor that includes hardware and that is configured to: detect depth information of at least one image of the plurality of images; and set the number of images to be combined for generating the composite image on the basis of the detected depth information. The depth information indicates a depth of a captured scene of the at least one image. The processor is configured to reduce the number of images as the depth of the captured scene increases.

The device acquires a plurality of pre-images before acquiring the plurality of images, and the processor is configured to calculate the movement amount of the subject image from a movement amount of the subject between the plurality of pre-images.
