Abstract: A bodily information measurement apparatus includes: a belt for wrapping around a measurement site; a main body arranged at a base end portion in a lengthwise direction of the belt and on which an element that measures bodily information is mounted; and a buckle for joining the base end portion and a leading end portion of the belt such that the belt forms a loop shape. The buckle includes first and second plate frame members, which include, respectively, first and second opening portions that penetrate through the respective members with respect to a plate surface. In a state in which the inner surface of the main body and the first and second plate frame members of the buckle are folded in so as to overlap, the first and second opening portions of the first and second plate frame members, respectively, are continuous in a thickness direction of the main body.

Abstract: A blood pressure measurement method includes wrapping a cuff around a site. The cuff includes: a first bladder that swells due to receiving fluid and is arranged at an outer surface of the site that corresponds to a first half surface where an artery is; and a second bladder that swells due to receiving fluid and is arranged at the outer circumferential surface of the measurement site that corresponds to a second half surface opposite to the first half surface. During inflation, the pressure of the second bladder is made larger than the first bladder by supplying more fluid such that the stroke amount by which the second fluid bladder swells is larger in the thickness direction. Then, the two bladders are inflated at equal rates. In the process of inflating, or in the process of deflating at rates equal to each other after inflating, blood pressure is measured.

Abstract: A blood pressure monitor cuff is formed by stacking an outer circumferential layer arranged on a side opposite to that of a measurement site and a fluid bladder arranged on the measurement site side. The outer circumferential layer and the fluid bladder are formed of an elastomer material. Two edge portions in a lengthwise direction of the outer circumferential layer protrude in a thickness direction toward the measurement site. The fluid bladder includes a base layer that opposes the outer circumferential layer and a top layer overlapping with the base layer, and the edge portions of the base layer and the top layer are welded together forming a bladder shape. Additional sheets are welded in the thickness direction to the welded edge portions of the top layer and the base layer. The fluid bladder is arranged between the two edge portions of the outer circumferential layer in the width direction.

Abstract: A bodily information measurement apparatus includes a band-shaped belt to be wrapped around a measurement site; a main body that is connected to a base end portion in the lengthwise direction of the belt and on which a pressure detection unit and a fluid supply unit are mounted; and a fastening unit for fastening the base end portion and the leading end portion of the belt. The belt is formed by stacking an outer circumferential layer and a fluid bladder for compressing the measurement site. The bodily information measurement apparatus is attached to the measurement site due to the base end portion and the leading end portion being fastened by the fastening portion in a state in which the fluid bladder and the leading end portion of the belt overlap.

Abstract: A blood pressure meter includes a pump and a first fluid path provided inside a main body. The first fluid path feeds a fluid from the pump to a fluid bladder or discharges the fluid from the fluid bladder. A pressure sensor is mounted on a first substrate disposed inside the main body. A second fluid path that introduces the fluid from the fluid bladder to the pressure sensor is provided. The second fluid path includes an inlet pipe that is integrally formed with a sensor package that incorporates the pressure sensor, and extends straight between the fluid bladder and the pressure sensor. A second substrate on which a blood pressure measurement element is mounted is disposed in a space that is located between the first substrate and the fluid bladder in a thickness direction and is adjacent to the second fluid path in a planar direction.
