    Abstract: A blood pressure measuring device includes a device main body; a curler configured to bend along a circumferential direction of a wrist of a living body, and configured to come into contact with a portion of the wrist at least between a dorsal side and a palmar side; a strap on the device main body, configured to cover an outer surface of the curler; a sensing cuff arranged in a region of the wrist where arteries exist; a rubber plate on a side of the sensing cuff nearer to the curler and configured to elastically deform; a pressing cuff between the curler and the rubber plate and configured to press the sensing cuff; and a cuff on a side of the curler nearer to the living body and arranged on the dorsal side of the wrist.

    Abstract: A first fluid bag and a second fluid bag are located side by side along an inner circumference of a belt, expand and contract upon entry and exit of a fluid, and are provided to press a measurement site from therearound while surrounding the measurement site. The fluid supply unit supplies the fluid to the first fluid bag and the second fluid bag. The pulse wave detection unit is disposed on an external surface portion of the first fluid bag and is provided to press the measurement site upon expansion of the first fluid bag. A position of the pulse wave detection unit relative to the artery passing through the measurement site is adjusted through adjustment of a ratio between a volume of the fluid in the first fluid bag and a volume of the fluid in the second fluid bag by the fluid supply unit.

    Abstract: A sphygmomanometer includes: a first fluid bag that is to be worn around a measurement site; first and second pulse wave sensors that are mounted on first fluid bag, and detect pulse waves of respective opposing areas of an artery running along measurement site; pressing parts that locally presses areas corresponding to first and second pulse wave sensors from an outer circumference side, opposite of an inner circumference side of first fluid bag where first and second pulse wave sensors are mounted. Blood pressure is calculated based on pulse transit time obtained from outputs from first and second pulse wave sensors, with first fluid bag in an unpressurized state and first and second pulse wave sensors being pressed by a pressing force of the pressing part. Blood pressure is calculated, for oscillometric blood pressure measurement, based on pressure within first fluid bag with first fluid bag in a pressurized state.

    Abstract: An apparatus includes a first pulse wave sensor and a second pulse wave sensor that can be arranged in correspondence with respective measurement sites distant from each other. The first pulse wave sensor outputs a current signal having a first frequency to a measurement site and detects a voltage signal that represents pulse waves from the measurement site, based on a filter characteristic corresponding to the first frequency. The second pulse wave sensor outputs a current signal having a frequency different from the first frequency to a corresponding measurement site and detects a voltage signal representing pulse waves from the measurement site, based on a filter characteristic corresponding to a second frequency.
