摘要： A chain hoist having a casing into which and with respect to which a chain travels is provided with an externally mounted position encoder assembly. A releasable connector, such as a ratchet strap, is employed to firmly but removably couple the position encoder assembly housing externally on the chain hoist casing. The releasable connector holds the position encoder assembly housing in a fixed position relative to the chain hoist casing. The position encoder assembly has a chain gear that is rotatably mounted relative to the position encoder assembly housing proximate to the chain access opening in the chain hoist casing. The precision encoder assembly chain gear engages the portion of the chain that is maintained under tension at a location externally of the chain hoist casing and rotates as the chain travels relative to the chain hoist casing. A releasable clamp is anchored relative to the position encoder assembly housing and is engageable to maintain engagement of the position encoder assembly chain gear with the chain. An encoder is mounted with respect to the position encoder assembly housing and detects rotational movement of the position encoder assembly chain gear. The sensor provides electrical output signals indicative of the extent and direction of rotational movement of the position encoder assembly chain gear. The position encoder assembly provides precise, reliable output signals indicative of the position of the chain relative to the chain hoist. The position encoder assembly may be readily removed from the chain hoist, and just as easily attached thereto.

摘要： A portable three-phase alternating current power supply is provided to drive one or more chain hoist drive motors. The portable power supply has a portable case for holding electrical components and includes a control panel that has at least one single-phase power input socket, and preferably a pair of three-phase motor power output sockets and a pair of motor control output sockets. Three-phase inverters are located in the portable case and are coupled to receive one or more single-phase 110 V alternating current power inputs and to provide three-phase, 208 V alternating current electrical power outputs through the three-phase motor power output sockets. Selector switches on the control panel are used to drive the chain hoist motors to raise and lower loads. Phase selection switches on the control panel synchronize the outputs of the inverters with the selector switch positions and associated indicators. An automatic power source selector automatically divides the electrical load of the three-phase inverters when more than one single-phase electrical power input is present.

摘要： A method for facilitating the distribution of physical restricted securities to a set of participants comprises receiving from an originating entity, such as a venture capitalist, a distribution package. A transfer agent is given temporary custody of the restricted securities and delivery instructions are provided to the transfer agent. Because the transfer agent has custody of the securities while they are still in the name of the originating entity, it can perform distributions of the restricted securities in accordance with incrementally delivered instructions and does not need to terminate the entire distribution if the instructions for a particular participant are incomplete or inconsistent. A system for gathering distribution instructions from participants and delivering the instructions to a facilitator is also disclosed.

摘要： A press having a stationary upper bolster and a movable lower bolster carried by two outer and two inner frame plates located near the ends and center of the platens respectively. Through the use of strain gauges measuring the load on the product provided on either sides of each frame plate and servo-operated piston cylinders connected to the lower bolster controlling the output force, a deflection of the lower bolster is made to be parallel to the deflection of the upper bolster so that an equal pressure distribution results in compression therebetween thereby producing a uniform thickness in the product.

摘要： An arrangement, apparatus, and method for alternately stacking material, such as copper, glass, etc. to form a stack of uncured laminates in a laminating press line. A material sheet pick-up and depositing head has at least one compartment which receives negative air pressure for a pick-up mode, and positive air pressure for a material sheet depositing mode. A slightly curved convexed surface on the underside of this head may cooperate with the positive pressure in first forcing the center of the sheet downwardly and then outwardly onto the build-up station, whereby air is dispelled from between the sheet and the already uncured stacked laminates, resulting in the sheet being placed smoothly onto the stacked laminates. A conveyor belt system mounted on the head cooperates with the negative air pressure to uncoil a sheet of material from a let-off unit.
