摘要： A blood collection needle assembly is provided, said assembly comprises a blood collection needle with an adapter lock and an elastic blood stopper, and a tube holder, wherein the needle incorporates at least one light guide positioned within the lumen and penetrating the wall thereof via at least one aperture, said light guide is configured to receive by its proximal end an optical radiation beam from an optical radiation source, to conduct optical radiation beam throughout internal space thereof and to emit optical radiation at a distal end thereof; wherein wavelength for optical radiation is selected to be strongly absorbed by blood red cells and walls of blood vessels; and wherein an adapter lock may be manufactured from the material ranging from substantially transparent to non-transparent in regards to optical radiation produced by the optical radiation source.
