摘要： An attempt has been made to prevent damage of a hermetic terminal and to improve pressure-resistance strength of the welded joint of connecting pipes in order to provide a sealed housing 4 having a pressure-resistance strength high enough to allow use of a high-pressure alternative refrigerant. For this purpose, ring-shaped metal members 15 and 23 are welded to the outer peripheries of the welded joints of a hermetic terminal 8 to be hermetically welded to an upper end plate 1 of a sealed housing 4 and a discharge pipe 10. As a result, in the event the internal pressure of the sealed housing 4 increases and the upper end plate 1 deforms in the shape of a sphere, the ring-shaped metal member 15 on the outer periphery of the welded joint of the hermetic terminal 8 suppresses the deformation of the hermetic terminal 8 thus preventing damage of a glass seal 12 of the hermetic terminal 8, and the ring-shaped metal member 23 on the outer periphery of the welded joint of the discharge pipe 10 decreases the tensile stress produced in the welded joint of the discharge pipe 10 thus improving the pressure-resistance strength of the connecting section of the discharge pipe 10 thereby providing a sealed type compressor having a sealed housing 4 with a sufficiently high pressure-resistance strength.

摘要： A lever is supported by a lever supporting portion. The lever is urged by a first spring and a second spring. The urging force of the first spring varies over the entire operational range of the lever. The second spring and a third spring are provided serially through a movable supporting member. The displacement of the movable supporting member is restricted by a fixed supporting member. If the urging force of the second spring exceeds the urging force of the third spring, the restriction on the displacement of the movable supporting member is removed. Therefore, the present configuration provides a player with feeling similar to that the player perceives when he manipulates a damper pedal of an acoustic piano.

摘要： A self-calibrating key sensor system is constituted by an optical modulator, optical position transducers, a data accumulator and a data analyzer, and the optical modulator has a gray scale section to produce a key position signal varied together with the keystroke and an absolute data section to produce a calibration signal representative of a strictly adjusted distance between transparent areas of the absolute data section; the data accumulator accumulates discrete values of the calibration signal and discrete values of the key position signal together with the sampling time, and the data analyzer determines the gradient of the key position signal on the basis of peaks of the calibration signal produced at both ends of the strictly adjusted distance so as to estimate the true distance between the rest and end positions.

Outside light is reflected from the top ends of the protrusion and the troughs, whereby a faint and natural vertically-striped pattern, which corresponds to a concave-convex part formed by the concave grooves and the protrusions, is perceived as resembling an edge grain of ivory.

摘要： A closed compressor includes a closed vessel having an oil sump in which lubricating oil which is incompatible with a refrigerant is accommodated. A compression mechanism, to which a rotary shaft is connected, is accommodated in the closed vessel. An electric motor is also accommodated in the closed vessel for rotating the rotary shaft to drive the compression mechanism. An oil supply pipe is secured to a lower end of the rotary shaft to draw the lubricating oil contained in the oil sump to the compression mechanism. A generally cylindrical partition wall is formed in the oil sump so as to encircle the oil supply pipe and has a plurality of holes to allow the lubricating oil to pass therethrough. The generally cylindrical partition wall may be replaced with a partition wall that laterally partitions the oil sump into two portions. It is preferred that the plurality of holes includes at least vertically spaced first and second rows of holes with the first row being positioned above the second row. Each hole of the first row has an area greater than the holes of the second row.
