摘要: The present invention provides a spread illuminating apparatus which can ensure uniform brightness over its entire screen. A light reflection-diffusion layer is formed on a light conductive member at a face provided with an optical path conversion means. Light emitted from spot-like light sources is reflected efficiently by the light reflection-diffusion layer toward a transparent substrate, and light intensity degrades in a substantially linear manner with the increase in distance from respective spot-like light sources. Sharp change of brightness on an observation surface can be prevented due to the light intensity degrading linearly.

摘要: A rare earth bonded magnet comprising a rare earth magnet powder bonded with a binder resin is manufactured by extrusion or injection molding. A rare earth bonded magnet manufactured by extrusion molding has a rare earth magnet powder content of 78.1 to 83.0 percent by volume. A rare earth bonded magnet manufactured by injection molding has a rare earth magnet powder content of 68.0 to 76.0 percent by volume. Preferably, the rare earth metal powder is at least one of Sm--Co alloys, R--Fe--B alloys wherein R is at least one of rare earth elements including Y, and Sm--Fe--N alloys. Preferably, the thermoplastic resin include polyamide, liquid crystal polymer, and Polyphenylene sulfide. Preferably, the rare earth bonded metal has a void ratio of 2 percent by volume or less. A rare earth bonded magnet is manufactured by kneading a rare earth magnetic composition comprising a rare earth magnet powder and a thermoplastic resin, and by extruding or injecting the mixture after kneading. A rare earth magnetic composition used for extrusion molding contains a rare earth metal powder of 77.6 to 82.5 percent by volume, and a rare earth magnetic composition used for injection molding contains a rare earth metal powder of 67.6 to 75.5 percent by volume. Preferably, such rare earth magnetic compositions further comprise an antioxidant, such as a chelating agent. Thus, a rare earth bonded magnet showing excellent moldability and magnetic properties and high mechanical strength at a minimum binding resin can be obtained.

A new system installing system comprises an installing process storing unit for storing a procedure for installing the new operating system into the system storing unit, a boot controlling unit for reading the procedure from the installing process storing unit and a executing unit for executing the procedure. The procedure comprises a plurality of steps. The boot controlling unit reads a first step of the plurality of steps, the boot controlling unit supplies the read step to the executing unit, and the executing unit causes the boot controlling unit to read a second step of the plurality of steps after executing the first step. The procedure saves, in the saving area, the common information before the new system is installed in the system storing unit and transfers the common information from the saving area to the system storing unit. The procedure reports, to a higher-rank system, a condition of the system installation executed by the new system installing unit. The common information is included in an existing operating system and comprises suitable information previously provided so that the existing operating system is made suitable for a particular use. The suitable information comprises office automation data, customized parameters and network definition data required to connect the existing operation system to a network.

The dummy structure (36) contains, for instance, at least one of the materials constituting an organic EL display structure (18). The dummy structure (36) is located in the peripheral region so that the volume per unit area of the sealing layer (40) in the peripheral region (15) is substantially the same as that in the display region (13).

摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide an image transform apparatus and an image transform program which can reduce a computation load for transforming a luminance image to a brightness image. The present invention attains the object by performing wavelet resolution of the luminance image first to generate J pieces (J is an integer equal to two or more) of sub band images (S2), transforming a luminance value of each pixel of the sub band images to a brightness impression value based on a predetermined relation between luminance and brightness impression (S4), and then performing wavelet synthesis of K pieces (K is an integer equal to two or more; K≦J) of sub band images having been subjected to the transformation of the luminance values to the brightness impression values, to generate a brightness image (S5).
