Abstract:
A turbine rotor assembly 10 comprises a turbine rotor and a plurality of moving blades 20 implanted in a circumferential direction of the rotor. A flow passage is formed between each of the moving blades 20 and a circumferentially adjacent moving blade 20. Each of the moving blades 20 comprises a suction side connecting member 22 protruded on a blade suction surface 21 and a pressure side connecting member 24 protruded on a blade pressure surface 23, wherein the suction side connecting member 22 of each of the moving blades 20 is configured to be connected with the pressure side connecting member 24 of the circumferentially adjacent moving blade 20 to form an intermediate connecting member 30 between the moving blade 20 and the circumferentially adjacent moving blade 20 during a rotation of the turbine rotor. A downstream side end edge 32 of the intermediate connecting member 30 is positioned at an upstream side of a throat S of the flow passage.
Abstract:
In order to prevent obstruction of a view of a subtitle due to synthesis of the subtitle onto an object area such as a person and display of the synthesized subtitle, an image synthesizing device includes: an image synthesizing unit which synthesizes a graphics object onto an image; and a display area detecting unit which outputs a display position of an area having the lowest spatial frequency; and a drawing control unit which causes the graphics object to be drawn at the display position.
Abstract:
A data processing apparatus stops a supply of data to a buffer when the buffer becomes full, and thereafter performs processing such as moving to a low-power mode and switching execution tasks. The data processing apparatus then reverts from the low-power mode and resumes execution of a task for supplying data to the buffer when a predetermined reversion condition is satisfied. The predetermined reversion condition is that, for example, processing with respect to data in a predetermined data cluster is completed, a predetermined time period has elapsed, or a cycle handler notifies an event occurrence.

Abstract:
Provided are a method of treating coal ash by mixing it with water, in which the coal ash and water undergo a temperature difference therebetween while they are mixed; and a method of desulfurization in a coal combustion boiler system, which comprises mixing coal ash that has been separated from a ash collector in the system, with water on the condition that the two undergo a temperature difference therebetween while they are mixed, and circulating the resulting mixture that serves as a desulfurizing agent into the coal combustor in the system. The desulfurization capability of the desulfurizing agent used in the desulfurization method is higher than that of the desulfurizing agent obtained through hydration of coal ash with water or steam.
Abstract:
For effectively achieving remote a display at long distance by using paging system, there is provided a personal computer, coding information to be transmitted into message code, dividing it into sub-message code which can be transmitted by one time of transmission operation of the paging system, and automatically transmits them in sequence. The message code sent through the paging system is received with a page adapter and input to a display device. The display device interprets the message code and generates display data to perform the display and control thereof.
Abstract:
A novel separation process of an iminodiacetic acid component from an aqueous glycine solution including the same is provided. In this process, sulfuric acid is added, in the presence of sodium salt, to the aqueous glycine solution in such an amount that the pH of the aqueous glycine solution becomes 1.5 or less, whereby the iminodiacetic acid is crystallized from the solution and, then, the crystallized iminodiacetic acid component is separated from the mother liquor. Thus, glycine can be efficiently recovered without causing undesirable accumulation of the iminodiacetic acid component in the mother liquor.
Abstract:
A process for purifying an .alpha.-amino acid containing cyano impurities comprising heating an aqueous solution of the .alpha.-amino acid in the form of its alkali metal salt in the presence of an alkali metal hydroxide to decompose the cyano impurities.

Abstract:
A reader/writer apparatus uses an antenna to communicate contactlessly with an identifier, such as an IC tag or IC card. The antenna includes a plurality of linked antenna elements of identical or substantially identical shape. The antenna elements are asymmetrical with respect to an axis perpendicular to a direction of linkage.
