摘要: A molding material for use with carbon dioxde, which comprises chlorinated polyethylene having a chlorine content of 25–47% by weight or a blend of chlorinated polyethylene with vinyl chloride-based resin, can be used as a suitable material for sealing materials in carbon dioxide-contacting apparatuses using carbon dioxide as a refrigerant. Addition of a specific silane coupling agent to the molding material can effectively prevent vulcanization moldings from blister generation.

摘要: A high pressure shaft seal (10A) for use in a refrigerating machine wherein carbon dioxide is used as a refrigerant in lieu of “Freon”. The seal has a sealing lip (24A) made of a non-elastomeric polymer material such as nylon that has a small gas permeability coefficient, a region of the sealing lip brought into contact with a shaft to be sealed being lined with a low friction lining (26A) of polytetrafluoroethylene. The gas barrier sealing lip (24A) of nylon serves to effectively block permeation of carbon dioxide gas under an extremely high pressure of from about 4 MPa to about 12 MPa. The sealing lip (24A) of nylon has a relatively high rigidity but is nevertheless able to resiliently undergo elastic deformation when such a high pressure is applied, to thereby resiliently follow any shaft run-out to exhibit sufficient dynamic and static sealing functions.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for wireless data transmission in a multimedia network are disclosed. Disclosed is a network having a source coupled to a sink using a virtual channel that includes a wireless communication channel. A source end of the system provides a packetizing data stream having a stream of payloads such that each payload is associated with its respective originating source stream. The system configured to encode the packetized data stream for wireless transport. A non-wireless source end of the system receives quality of service information from downstream. Thereby enabling adjustments to the source content and packetized data streams.

摘要: Various methods, systems, and apparatus for implementing aspects of latency control in display devices are disclosed. According to aspects of the disclosed invention, a source device commands a display device to minimize the delay between the time that image data enters the display device and the time that it is shown on the display device. In one embodiment, the source device transmits data to the display device that specifies whether the display device should time optimize the image data, such as by transmitting a data packet for this purpose either with the image data or on an auxiliary communication link. In another embodiment, the source device and the display device are coupled via an interconnect that comprises multi-stream capabilities, and each stream is associated with a particular degree of latency optimization.
