    摘要: A spherical annular seal member (58) includes: a spherical annular base member (56) defined by a cylindrical inner surface (52), a partially convex spherical surface (56), and end faces (54, 55); and an outer layer (57) formed integrally with the partially convex spherical surface (53) of the spherical annular base member (56). The spherical annular base member (56) includes a reinforcing member (5) made from a compressed metal wire net (4) and a heat-resistant material filling meshes of the metal wire net (4) of the reinforcing member (5), integrated with the reinforcing member (5) in mixed form, and containing expanded graphite and an organic phosphorus compound. The outer layer (56) includes a heat-resistant material constituted by a heat-resistant sheet member (6) containing expanded graphite and an organic phosphorus compound, and a reinforcing member constituted by a metal wire net (4) integrated with the heat-resistant material in mixed formed.

    摘要: Materials not releasing gaseous organic materials during use are used as a dry-type sealing material such as a gasket disposed upon mounting an air filter to an opening of a ceiling or the like, a wet-type sealing material filled and used in a gap for connecting wall materials or partitionings, a vinyl chloride sheet or a vinyl chloride cloth as a facing material for walls and floors. Specifically, a carboxylic acid ester having a molecular weight of not less than 400 is used as a plasticizer, a phenolic compound having a molecular weight of not less 300 is used as an antioxidant, an aliphatic hydrocarbon having not less than 19 carbon atoms (for example, microcrystalline wax) is used as a lubricant, and an alkylamine ethylene oxide adduct having a molecular weight of not less than 350 is used as an antistatic agent.

    摘要: A compound water-sealing sealant comprising a non-water-swelling thermoplastic resin (A), preferably a vinyl chloride resin, and a water-swelling resin (C) obtained by kneading together 10 to 97% by weight of the non-water-swelling thermoplastic resin (A) and 3 to 90% by weight of a water-swelling material (B). The compound water-sealing sealant is molded by the conjoint extrusion molding of the non-water-swelling thermoplastic resin (A) and the water-swelling resin (C). The water-swelling material (B) is a water-swelling urethane resin which is a prepolymer having isocyanate groups in which the content of terminal NCO groups amounts to 1 to 12%, preferably 2 to 7%, obtained by the reaction of polyisocyanate with at least one polyether polyol of the formulaR[(OR.sub.1)n OH]pwherein R is a polyhydric alcohol residue;(OR.sub.1)n is a polyoxyalkylene chain comprising oxyalkylene groups each having an oxyethylene group and an alkylene group carrying three or four carbon atoms, and wherein the content of the oxyethylene groups is 20 to 100% of the total molecular weight;n is a number corresponding to the degree of polymerization of the oxyalkylene groups and giving a hydroxyl group equivalent of 200 to 2500; andp is 2 to 8, preferably 2 to 4.

    摘要: The inventive water-swellable caulking material for water-leakage prevention is of the type formed of a composition comprising a rubbery polymer and a highly water-absorptive resin and useful in the caulking works of a construction joint of concrete. Different from the conventional caulking materials of the type, the inventive caulking material is provided on the surface of a shaped body of the water-swellable composition with a coating film which is impervious to neutral water but exhibits water-permeability when contacted with an alkaline water of an alkalinity such as in an uncured concrete mixture so that the caulking material is prevented from premature or untimely expansion by swelling even when inadvertently contacted with water prior to application to the working site but capable of promptly expanding when contacted with an uncured concrete mixture with alkalinity.
