Abstract:
Methods and systems for facilitating electronic transactions on a user device are described. User-friendly graphical user interfaces (GUIs) are provided with minimal text and more pictures and images. The GUIs detect or receive various gesture inputs, such as swiping, tapping, and dragging and dropping, and display a corresponding screen or page. The gesture inputs allow a user to select or specify payers/payees, transaction amounts, and funding sources, without having to type numbers or letters.
Abstract:
There are provided systems and methods for transportation check-in and payment using beacons. A service provider, such as a transportation, payment, or other service provider, may utilize short range wireless beacons at or near a transportation service that provide automated check-in with a user device. When the user device is in proximity to the beacon, the user may be checked-in and provide payments for use of the transportation service, such as payment for a transportation fare. The user may receive scheduling and/or updates for the transportation service. Additionally, while the user is travelling with the transportation service, the user may purchase extra fare if the user realizes that current travel coverage of the purchased transportation fare does not cover an expected cost of the trip. The extra fare may be automatically purchased if the user device loses power or the user is unaware of the trip cost.
Abstract:
A system or a method is provided to provide shopping detours to users during traffic congestions. In particular, the system may detect that a user is experiencing or is about to experience a traffic congestion. The system may then estimate the additional travel time needed to go through the traffic congestion. The system may also find shopping detours which allow the user to take the shopping detours to make purchases and still arrive at the final destination at about the same time as if the user stays in the original route with the traffic congestion.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for facilitating electronic transactions on a mobile communications device are described. Available funding sources for sending funds to a contact from a list of contacts is provided for display on a graphical user interface (GUI) of a mobile communications device. A selection of a funding source from the available funding sources is received from the mobile communications device. In response to receiving a selection of the funding source, a payment indicator is provided for display on the GUI. A touch input associated with the payment indicator is receiving via the GUI. A transaction amount is determined based on a contact point dependent measurement of the touch input. The determined transaction amount along with the payment indicator is provided for display on the GUI.
