Abstract:
A process for the synthesis of organonickel derivatives by electrochemical reduction of a nickel(II) complex followed by addition of a haloorganic compound which yields a different nickel(II) complex. The complexes have utility as catalysts for olefin dimerization.
Abstract:
NICKEL COMPLEX COMPOSITIONS CONSISTING OF HALO(HALOORGANO) BIS(TRIORGANOPHOSPHINE) NICKEL(II) WHICH ARE SUITABLE AS OLEFIN DIMERIZATION CATALYSTS WHEN IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ACTIVATING COCATALYST.
Abstract:
Compounds of the formula M(Z3P)4, where M is palladium or platinum and Z is a hydrocarbon or substituted hydrocarbon radical, are produced by reacting the metal in elemental form with a corresponding Z3P compound. One specific example is the production of tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(O) by reacting elemental palladium with triphenylphosphine.
Abstract:
THE HYDROGENATION OF CYCLIC AND ACYCLIC DIENES TO MONOENES IS IMPROVED BY PROMOTING TRIHYDROCARBYLPHOSPHINE MODIFIED CARBONYL COBALT CATALYSTS WITH ALCOHOLS, ETHERS, AND AMIDES.
Abstract:
A method of chlorinating azobenzene in the ortho positions by employing a palladium chloride catalyst in the presence of water and an organic compound in which azobenzene is soluble.
