Abstract:
The present invention discloses embodiments for an optical touch systems and methods. One embodiment of the present invention is directed to an optical touch system that includes at least two image sensors configured to detect a plurality of objects over a touch surface to generate a plurality of object images; a plurality of first light receiving elements, wherein the first light receiving elements are arranged on a side of the touch surface along a first direction and are configured to detect the objects; and a processing unit configured to calculate a plurality of candidate coordinate data, based on the object images, and select the coordinate data that represents coordinate data of the objects from the candidate coordinate data, based on detection data of the first light receiving elements.
Abstract:
An optical touch system comprises a first light-emitting unit, a second light-emitting unit, a first image sensor having a first filter, and a second image sensor having a second filter. The first light-emitting unit generates first wavelength band light. The second light-emitting unit generates second wavelength band light. The first light-emitting unit generates first wavelength band light when the first image sensor is capturing an image. The first filter allows first wavelength band light to enter into the first image sensor and blocks second wavelength band light. The second light-emitting unit generates second wavelength band light when the second image sensor is capturing an image. The second filter allows second wavelength band light to enter into the second image sensor and block first wavelength band light.

Abstract:
An electronic system includes a device having a screen and an optical touch device. The optical touch device monitors the activity of an object on the screen of the device. When the object performs an operation in a first region of the screen, the optical touch device generates first data; and when the object performs an operation outside the first region, the optical touch device generates second data, wherein the first data and the second data are of different data types.
Abstract:
An optical touch system comprises a first imaging device configured to be directed toward a side surface of a target on a touch surface and a processing device. The first imaging device sequentially generates a first picture having an image of the target and a second picture having an image of the target. The computing device is configured to calculate a first dimension of the target using the first picture and a second dimension of the target using the second picture, and to determine whether the target is formed by one object or two objects by the first and second dimensions.
Abstract:
An image processing method includes obtaining a background picture including a first and second pixel, wherein the first pixel has a first intensity value in response to that a first sensing element is operated by a fixed exposure time, and the second pixel has a second intensity value in response to that a second image sensing element is operated by the fixed exposure time; extracting the first and second intensity value from the first and second pixel, respectively; performing a computing operation including computing a first exposure time and a second exposure time; and operating the first image sensing element by the first exposure time and the second image sensing element by the second exposure time after the computing operation.
