Abstract: Novel laminating system or means especially useful for heat laminating I. D. cards and/or I. D. credit cards. Essential elements of the novel laminating system presented include an I. D. card or I. D. credit card laminar assembly and pressure distribution means arranged in combination with the assembly to distribute the pressure applied to the assembly so that intially the pressure is selectively applied to a median portion of the assembly. As further pressure is applied, the area of the assembly to which pressure is applied is progressively increased until pressure is uniformly applied to all portions of the laminar assembly.
