The housing is configured to be coupled with the wall mount, and the housing is rotatable relative to the wall mount about an axis that extends in a direction perpendicular to a rear surface of the housing between a first rotational orientation, where latching members extending from the housing can be received by and removed from latch openings in the wall mount, and a second rotational orientation, where the housing is prevented from being pulled away from the wall plate.

    Abstract: A torque sleeve includes sleeve body configured to extend along an axis. The sleeve body is further configured to at least partially receive a coupling member of a coaxial cable connector. The sleeve body has an outer surface configured to permit a user to tighten the coupling member to an interface port up to a first torque, and the sleeve body includes a pair of opposed cutouts configured to receive a tightening tool so as to permit the tightening tool to grip the coupling member and tighten the coupling member to an interface port up to a second torque, the second torque being greater than the first torque.

    Abstract: A grounding device for maintaining a ground path between a component of a connector and an interface port when the grounding device flexes includes a sealing member configured to form a conductive ground path between a component of a connector and an interface port. The sealing member comprises a sealing portion that is configured to overlie a grounding portion toward a radial direction of the connector when the connector is assembled, and the sealing portion and the grounding portion of the sealing member are configured to flex when a force is applied to the sealing member so as to maintain a ground path between the component of the connector and the interface port when the sealing portion and the grounding portion flex and when a force is applied to the sealing member during operation of the connector.

    Abstract: A cable connector includes an outer conductor engager, a body, a coupler, a compression sleeve, a radially compressible grounding member, and an end cap. The outer conductor engager is configured to receive an end of a coaxial cable and has an outer circumferential surface defining an annular groove. The body includes an annular ring portion coaxially aligned with the outer conductor engager along an axis, and the annular ring is configured to circumscribe the coaxial cable. The coupler is rotatably mounted relative to the outer conductor engager and the body, and the compression sleeve is disposed at an opposite axial side of the body relative to the coupler. The radially compressible grounding member is configured to establish an electrical grounding path between the outer conductor engager and the coupler, and the end cap has a radial projection slidably retained in the groove. As the coupler is threadably coupled to an interface port, the end cap slides axially in the groove and urges the grounding member into a forward end of the outer conductor engager.

    Abstract: A cable system component includes a housing having a seal-grasping surface portion and a seal having an elastically deformable tubular body attached to the housing. The body has a posterior sealing surface that cooperatively engages the seal-grasping surface portion of the housing and a forward sealing surface configured to cooperatively engage an interface port. The forward sealing surface includes a radially inner facet divided into a forward portion and a rearward portion by an inner annular groove in the inner facet. The seal includes an anterior portion and a posterior portion connected by a thinned neck portion, the forward portion of the radially inner facet is on the anterior portion, and the rearward portion of the radially inner facet is on the posterior portion. The rearward portion of the radially inner facet includes a sealing edge surface that is configured to cooperate with an outer surface of the interface port in order to provide a sealed connection between the connector and the port when the anterior portion is removed from the seal. The inner annular groove is radially aligned with the neck portion and is configured to keep the neck portion away from the sealing edge of the rearward portion of the radially inner facet when the anterior portion is removed from the seal.

    Abstract: A connector includes a body having a cable receiving end configured to receive the end of the coaxial cable, a coupler configured to be coupled with and to rotate relative to the body, and a compression ring including a forward sleeve portion and a rearward outer ring portion attached to one another by a plurality of tabs. The forward sleeve portion is configured to be coupled to the cable receiving end of the body, and the plurality of tabs are configured to shear so as to separate the rearward outer ring portion from the forward sleeve portion when a torque for rotating the compression ring relative to the body exceeds a desired torque. The rearward outer ring includes an inner opening when separated from the forward sleeve portion, the separated rearward outer ring is configured to be slidingly moved relative to the body and the coupler, and the inner opening is configured to fit over the coupler such that the rearward outer ring is configured to be a torque assist member.
