摘要: A system and method provides secondary resource files in response to a request for a web page from a client device. In response to the request, a server provides an HTML file which identifies a secondary resource file, such as a javascript file, and the current version value of the secondary resource. The HTML file may be associated with a header which prevents the file from being cached. If there is no locally-cached version of the secondary resource file, the file is requested from the server. The server will transmit the secondary resource file with a header indicating that the file is to be stored indefinitely. If there is a locally-cached version of the secondary resource file, the client device compares the version value of the locally-cached version to the received current version value. If the values are different, the client requests the differences between the files. The server provides a difference file which the client device uses in conjunction with the locally-cached version of the secondary resource to generate the current version of the secondary resource.

摘要: A curved toe cap safety boot for comfortably protecting all five toes includes a boot having a toe, a heel, a top, a bottom, an instep side, an outstep side, and a foot cavity extending between the toe, the heel, the top, the bottom, the instep side, and the outstep side. The top has an ankle aperture extending through to the foot cavity. A layered sole is disposed on the bottom of the boot. A toe cap disposed within the toe of the boot has a front portion, a medial portion, and a lateral portion. The medial portion extends a first length from the front portion to cover a hallux of a wearer. The lateral portion extends a second length from the front portion to cover a fifth phalange of the wearer. The first length is less than the second length.

摘要: A method of forming a lattice-tuning semiconductor substrate comprises the steps of defining striped regions (16) on the surface of a silicon substrate (10) at which dislocations can preferentially form, growing a first SiGe layer (18) on the strips such that first dislocations (20) extend preferentially across the first SiGe layer between the striped regions to relieve the strain in the first SiGe layer in directions transverse to the stripes (16), and growing a second SiGe layer on top of the first SiGe layer such that second dislocations (22) form preferentially within the second SiGe layer to relieve the strain in the second SiGe layer in directions transverse to the first dislocations (20). The dislocations so produced serve to relax the material in two mutually transverse directions whilst being spatially separated so that the two sets of dislocations cannot interact with one another. Thus the density of threading dislocations and the surface roughness is greatly reduced, thus enhancing the performance of the virtual substrate by decreasing the disruption of the atomic lattice that can lead to scattering of electrons in the active devices and degradation of the speed of movement of the electrons.

摘要: An automatic wax dipping system is an apparatus that dips multiple bottles into wax without the manual input of a user. The apparatus includes a basin, a first receptacle, a second receptacle, a first set of heating elements, a track mechanism, and a motorized belt. The basin upholds components of the apparatus. The first receptacle houses oil and the second receptacle houses wax. The first set of heating elements heat the oil which in turn heats the wax. The track mechanism includes a plurality of rails and an at least one motorized belt. The plurality of rails upholds multiple bottles and directs the path of multiple bottles across the present invention. The at least one motorized belt forces the multiple bottles through the plurality of rails in specific lengthwise sections where the multiple bottles may require additional force.

摘要: An ordnance usable against a living body, the ordnance having a tracking module with a transmitter that can use at least a portion of the body as an antenna. In preferred embodiments, the tracking module is releasably coupled to a carrier, and a pointed tip is disposed on at least one of the tracking module and the carrier. The module preferably includes a circuit that provides location information to the transmitter, and optionally provides additional information, including at least one of motion, compass, pressure, oxygen, and heart beat information. Transmission can occur at any suitable interval, including for example, at least three times during a ten minute period. The transmitter can optionally transmit a no heart beat signal, failure signal, and/or low battery signal. Preferred systems include a receiver that can send an interrogation signal, and the ordnance can include an interrogation receiving circuit for receiving interrogation signals.
